Supplementary Regulations for KNA Rally Sokndal 23. August 2014 1) These regulations are valid for KNA Rally Sokndal 2014, a rally with limited participation mainly on tarmac surface in the Sokndal region. The competition is part of the West Euro Rally Cup, KNA Rally Championship and the Norwegian C-drivers cup. 2) KNA Rally Sokndal 2014 is hosted by KNA Sokndal Motorsport. The competition is held according to the international sporting code (ISR), the national sporting code (NSR) and these regulations. This version is translated for information purposes, in case of conflict the Norwegian version is the ruling one. The rally is limited to a maximum of 45 cars, due to schedule issues. There will be 3 20 minute services on one permanent service area. Stage 1/3: 21 km Stage 2/4: 15 km Stage 5/7: 10 km Stage 6: 20 km Stage 8: first 3,2 km of stage 6. There is a voluntary free shakedown at Friday evening (August 22) following completion of scrutineering for the main event. Dead end road, 1 car at the time. 9)Classes: The organizers would like to point out that all vehicles must have an FIA/ASN homologated rollcage or comply with the NSR national requirements. Also valid date stamp on FIA approved seats and belts (max 5 years). If your car does not comply with this please contact the clerk of the course to see if we can solve any problems together. The organizers reserves the right to merge classes at will. Class 21 is exclusively for foreign drivers of cars only nationally homologated in their own country, such as group DK, N-GT etc etc. 10). Administrative Check-In and Scrutineering: The administrative check-in is at Sokndalshallen Sports hall in the centre of Sokndal, next to the church along FV44. Scrutineering is at the local Mitsubishi dealer in the centre of Sokndal, open Friday from 17-22. Any scrutineering at saturday morning is only at the chief scrutineers discretion. Please remember to bring personal equipment and homologation documents to scrutineering. 11) Entry: Online form at www.rallysokndal.no. The entry must be signed by both driver and codriver at the administrative check in. Entries close Friday August 22 at 22.00. Please remember that withdrawal of entries must be reported to the organizers ASAP. ASN regulations state that entries to other competitions hosted at the same time is only possible with the organizers permission. All competitors must have a valid licence from their respective ASN, and a membership in a motor club connected to the ASN. According to FIA/ASN regulations an ordinary national license is valid for entry, however the ASN must issue a confirmation that the license is valid. Foreign participants can not score points in Norwegian national cups. The entry fee includes rescue service "on road" or better. The entry fee can be paid in cash at check in or sent to our Norwegian bank account: Account number: 3270.22.63394. Remember to bring your receipt, and to mark payment with drivers name! 12) Insurance: The organizers has the ASN approved 3rd party insurance for special stage rallying. However this only covers rallycar on stage, so all vehicles (rallycars, reccecars, servicecars etc) must have their own separate traffic insurance. Please bring confirmation of such insurance for the rallycar. 13) Schedule: Entries received: Suppl. August 23rd, 09.00 hours August 23rd, 17.39 hours August 23rd, 18.00 hours 14) Start, servicepark, regrouping, refueling and finish: All are located at Sokndalshallen along FV 44. However there is also one regroup at Åna-Sira. The first start of the day uses the principle of floating start, always regrouping so to start one car every minute. Stage start uses TAG Heuer automated timing system, with automated countdown clocks. We use a master clock and time down to 1/10th of a second on stages. Service area is 6x6 meters per entry, other requirements please contact the Clerk of the course. 15) Personal equipment: FIA approved driving suits, helmets, HANS, balaclavas and gloves are required. 16) Vehicle equipment: All cars must be equipped with 2 hazard triangles, marked with the license plate number of
the car, SOS/OK signs in A3-format, and 2 reflecting hazard vests. All equipment must be properly fitted. Daytime driving lights are required at all times in Norway. The penalty for driving without lights at a rally event is 30 seconds. All ISR allowed commercial fuel is allowed, along with E85 Bio-ethanol. E85 cars must be marked with a E85 sticker. Refueling is only allowed at service area in a specific refueling zone, after exiting the service park. 17) Prize giving: Prizegiving will be at Sokndalshallen, at the earliest 18.00 hours. Both driver and codriver will receive prices. Up to 1/4th of every class will receive prices. Following the prize giving we will host the rally after party. 18) Noise limit: 100 db max. 19) Results and bulletins: All will be posted at the official bulletin board located at Sokndalshallen. 20) Advertizing: The organizers will supply stickers from their sponsors. The fitting will be described earlier, stickers over/under the start numbers are non-optional Other advertizing can be denied for the cost of 1 start fee. 21) Protests / Appeals: According to NSR (we really really dont have time for such things) 22) Access to service park: NO TRAILERS ALLOWED AT THE SERVICE PARK. Please park these at other designated areas. At check-in start-numbers for rally cars, service cars and recce cars will be provided. For service and recce cars please fit at right hand side. Cars without numbers may be denied access or removed from the service park. Passes for the service park will be provided at check-in. 23) Parc Ferme: Parc Ferme is at Sokndalshallen. 24) Overnight parking: We supply voluntary indoor parking from Friday to Saturday for rallycars. 1,5 km north of Sokndal the BEMY workshop will be open for parking. The gates will be closed and locked following the end of scrutineering and opened again 07.00 Saturday morning.
25) Environment: Assistant Clerk of the Course is responsible for environmental standards. There will be stations for collection of trash at the service park. From Kristiansand, take E39 towards Stavanger, and either take the Flekkefjord FV44 exit towards Sokndal (Stage 6 in reverse, not suited for semi-trailers) or the next exit, FV501 towards Sokndal (also a stage in reverse). From Stavanger, follow E39 south to Egersund, then take FV44 through Egersund and to Sokndal. 28)Recce We allow recce of all stages in the time period between 12 and 20.00 on Friday 22nd. Please do not drive in the opposite direction of the stages, we only allow this on stage 2 and stage 6, use extreme caution when doing this. 29)Movement on special stages. Due to the nature of the event area the organizers has waived the right to deny access to the special stages. Subsequently you are allowed to perform necessary transport on stages, be it getting in and out of Sokndal or because you simply live on stage. 30) Specific Norwegian regulations: The Norwegian rallies has time controls at the end of every special stage.
