Breakfast Lunch Dinner Drink Afternoon Tea Longer walks and steps may be involved on this day 1 Private chauffeured car from home to Dover and set sail Your cruise will be completely stress free from start to finish with your included luxury limousine service from home to port. Your chauffeur will be in contact with the ship should there be any traffic delays and will load your luggage for you. On arrival at the port it will be collected from your limousine by the ship s porters and delivered direct to your cabin. Your Tour Manager will be there to assist with check-in. Once aboard Fred. Olsen s Braemar, the friendly crew will guide you to your double cabin for sole occupancy and you will have time to freshen up. Later break the ice with your fellow One Travellers for a pre-dinner drinks gathering followed by the Captains welcome party. Afterwards dinner will be served (second sitting) on tables reserved solely for One Traveller guests. Each evening you will be able to enjoy sumptuous five course dinners in like-minded company. *Limousine service is included up to 100 miles from the port. Supplements may apply for distances above 100 miles. This service may be shared with another One Traveller guest if they live on the same route*. 2 Cruising at Sea Morning: the first day at sea is perfect to acquaint yourself with the many facilities on board Braemar and get to know your fellow One Traveller guests on board. After a leisurely breakfast join your Tour Manager and companions for a leisurely stroll on deck. A daily newsletter is posted to your cabin to ensure that you miss none of the activities, facilities and fascinating talks given on board. Evening: pre-dinner drinks gathering followed by dinner (second sitting). 3 Stavanger cruising Karmsund Morning excursion: board a small boat to explore the Stavanger

archipelago and Lysefjord which cuts 42 kilometres deep into the country. On the southern side of the fjord is Helleren an overhanging cliff and on the northern side of the fjord is one of Norway s spectacular wonders, Preikestolen or Pulpit Rock - nearly 548 metres above sea level. Cruising back to Stavanger, you get a lovely view of the city. Afternoon: cruise through Karmsund, a narrow channel between Karmøy Island and the town of Haugesund. Larger ships would have to travel 10 miles out to sea to negotiate this. Fred. Olsen s smaller ships and Norwegian roots make a fjords cruise a true scenic experience. 4 Flåm, Aurlandsfjord cruising Nærøyfjord Morning excursion: a short walk takes you to Flåm station. Ascending to 867 metres within just 50 minutes. The world famous railway was built between 1920 and 1940 and was in fact opened by German troops. Wind your way up through several tunnels, over bridges and past thundering waterfalls. Late afternoon: Nærøyfjord in Sognefjord - Western Norway - is one of the world s most beautiful and dramatic fjords! The name Nærøyfjord origin is from the Norse god 'Njord', the god of the seafarer and the sea. At 17 kilometres long and just 250 metres wide at its narrowest point the passage through is one of the most dramatic in Europe. Each twist and turn gives the impression of heading towards a dead end which opens up as you turn each corner. 5 Bergen Morning excursion: the legendary composer Edvard Grieg lived in Bergen s Hop district during the summertime. His lakeside villa, Troldhaugen, meaning Troll Hill, is now a museum, Grieg was fascinated by trolls mythical monsters that, according to legend, lived in the mountains of Norway. You will enjoy a short performance of Grieg s work in the villa.

Afternoon: Bergen is small and this afternoon enjoy at your leisure wandering the old wharf, Bryggen, which is on UNESCO s World Heritage list. With its quaint architecture, produce market and funicular to take in the views, all within a stroll from the ship, it makes for a truly pleasant afternoon. 6 Cruising Hidrasund and five stunning fjords Morning: sail along Strandsfjord and the Hidrasund, a narrow passage between the island of Hidra and the mainland, and onto Stolsfjord and the narrow size restricted Flekkefjord with its beautiful landscape. This truly shows off small ship cruising at its best! Afternoon: Listafjord meanders between jagged edges and snowcovered hills, eventually splitting into two. The southern of the two branches runs parallel to towering cliffs and pretty beaches. After, the magnificence of Rosfjord will have you drawing breath in delight as views open up in all directions. 7 Oslo Morning excursion: a taste of what the capital of Norway has to offer. Driving through the city centre on the main street and Karl Johan s Gate, pass by monumental buildings such as the Royal Palace, Cathedral, National Theatre, Norwegian Parliament, City Hall and the 13th century Fortress of Akershus. En route admire the entrance of the famous Vigeland Sculpture Park. Afternoon: free to explore the centre of Oslo with your fellow shipmates before returning to Braemar. Many of Oslo s diverse monuments are in close proximity to each other so it s easy to wander the compact Norwegian capital. 8 Arendal The inspiration for the fictional village in the hit animation film Frozen

Arendal has many hearty restaurants and pubs to welcome visitors and the town has several intriguing monuments as well as an impressive Town Hall and the Ibsenhuset Museum, containing treasured belongings of playwright Henrik Ibsen. An excursion (yet to be determined) will be included in Arendal. 9 At sea A day to reminisce on the stunning Norwegian scenery you have witnessed at close hand with fellow One Traveller shipmates but above all a full day to enjoy the many facilities on Braemar. Relax with a spa treatment, listen to some music, partake in one of the many activities listed on board, and indulge in fine food and cuisine. Whatever you choose all Braemar s facilities and amenities are available to you for the entire day to enjoy. 10 Arrive Dover Chauffeur service to your door Morning: your final breakfast on board and time to bid a fond farewell to the ever smiling and caring crew and Braemar. Our Tour Manager will be on hand to assist with all disembarkation procedures. After disembarkation your private chauffeur will be waiting to return you to your front door, porters will be on hand to load your luggage and your driver will assist you once you are at home. Included excursions STAVANGER Boat Trip to Lysefjord (3 hrs) Board a boat which will take you on a tour of the Stavanger archipelago and the splendid Lysefjord. Lysefjord, cuts 42 kilometres deep into the country and only here and there is there room for a small farm. On the southern side of the fjord is Helleren an overhanging cliff that, in former days, gave shelter to the people who fished and hunted in this area. Today it is a popular picnic site, seating 180 people, all of whom are sheltered from the weather. If your fjord boat is able to get into the harbour, you will have a tea and coffee break here, accompanied by freshly made waffles. Alternatively you will enjoy refreshments at the Lysefjord Centre. On the northern side of the fjord is one of Norway s spectacular wonders, Preikestolen or Pulpit Rock - nearly 548 metres above sea level, and you will cruise below. While

travelling on this beautiful fjord, it is an interesting thought to bear in mind that in many places the water around you is as deep as the mountains are high. Cruising back to Stavanger, you get a lovely view of the city. FLÅM Flåm Railway & Vatnalhalsen Hotel (4.5 hrs) Combine a journey on the renowned Flåm Railway, with refreshments at the rustic Vatnahalsen Hotel. A short walk takes you to Flåm station to board a train on the Flåm Railway. The railway is only 9 miles long, but the track you will follow is an engineering wonder, ascending to 867 metres within just 50 minutes. It has a gradient of 1 in 18, and crosses back and forth across rivers and through 20 tunnels. The world famous railway was built between 1920 and 1940 and was in fact opened by German troops, who had a large military camp in Flåm. Wind your way up through several tunnels, over bridges and past thundering waterfalls. Narrow paths twist up the mountainsides, used by only the deftest goats, and beautiful vistas of the valley unfold below. On the way the train makes a stop at the lovely Kjosfossen waterfall, where you may leave the train for a few minutes to take some photos. Vatnahalsen Hotel is the next to last station on this magnificent railway journey, and it is where you leave the train. You can admire the beautiful views of the mountains as well as Lake Reinungavatnet, which flows into the majestic Kjosfossen waterfall. Here you have tea or coffee and a waffle before returning on the railway BERGEN - GRIEGS BERGEN (3 hrs) The legendary composer Edvard Grieg lived and worked in Bergen s Hop district during the summertime. His lakeside home, Troldhaugen (meaning Troll Hill ), is now a museum, and you will enjoy a short performance of Grieg s work in the villa. Grieg was fascinated by trolls mythical monsters that, according to legend, lived in the mountains of Norway. As you explore the modest house, you will wonder at the significance of the notes that once filled these rooms. The walls whisper stories of melodies that sprang from the heart and hands of an incredibly talented man. OSLO Introduction to Oslo This two hour introductory tour of Oslo will give you a small taste of what the capital of Norway has to offer one of the largest capitals in Europe in surface area. You will make two short photo stops one at the hill of Ekeberg where Oslo was founded more than 1,000 years ago and another at the new ski jump of Holmenkollen. En route admire the entrance of the famous Vigeland Sculpture Park. Driving through the city centre on the main street Karl Johans Gate, pass by monumental buildings such as the Royal Palace, Cathedral, National Theatre, Norwegian Parliament, City Hall and the 13th century Fortress of Akershus. Throughout, your English speaking guide will keep you amused and informed. Hotels Braemar With her five-deck high atrium area and cascading decks at the stern, Braemar has space and intimacy in perfect balance. Refresh at the Marquee poolside bar, or have a cosy drink in the Morning Light Pub. Spin to the music at the Neptune Lounge, or leave the world behind in the serene Atlantis Spa.
