Produt Information Benefits Vitoell 100-V, CVA/CVAA Series Tehnial Data The vertial tank solution for ost-effiient domesti hot water supply. The Vitoell 100-V DHW tank offers storage apaities of up to 119 USG (450 L). Benefits at a glane: Corrosion-proteted steel tank shell with Ceraprotet enamel oating. Magnesium anode provides additional athodi tank protetion. Heat exhanger oil extends to the bottom of the tank, thereby heating the entire water ontent. Extremely onvenient domesti hot water supply assured by fast, uniform heating via generously sized heat exhanger surfaes. Certified to CSA Low Lead Content Certifiation Program; inluding US Safe Drinking Water At, NSF/ANSI 372 as well as other appliable US State requirements. Universally suitable - for appliations requiring larger quantities of hot water, multiple Vitoell 100-V tanks may be onneted to a header to form a tank battery. Inreased energy savings thanks to highly effetive, foamed-in-plae HCFC-free insulation keeping standby losses at a minimum. Vitoell 100-V, CVA/CVAA Series Tehnial Data Standard Equipment (ontinued) Produt Installation Bakflow preventers Where bakflow preventers are required, a domesti water expansion tank installation is reommended in the old water inlet piping before the old water enters the Vitoell. For the bakflow devie, observe loal plumbing odes and regulations. Temperature and pressure relief valve A temperature and pressure relief valve (T&P relief valve) is supplied with the tank. The heating ontrator must install the valve on eah tank in a method meeting ode requirements. If loal odes require a different relief valve, substitute the manufaturer s supplied valve. The tank is approved for 150 psig. Maximum operating pressure is 150 psig. The T&P relief valve supplied with the tank is tested under ANSI Z21.22 Code for Relief Valves and Automati Gas Shut-off Devies for Hot Water Supply Systems. IMPORTANT Sine the heat exhanger oil allows for high MBH input (see Vitoell flow harts), onfirmation that the appropriate and orret size pressure and temperature relief valve is used and installed, is neessary. Viessmann aepts no responsibility for damage howsoever aused and reserves the right to withdraw the produt warranty if the produt has been improperly installed or misapplied by the installer, ontrator or final user. In order to qualify for produt warranty, strit adherene to the installation and servie manuals must be assured. In the event that Viessmann nonapproved omponents are utilized, Viessmann reserves the right to withdraw all expressed or implied warranties without written notie. The water to be heated with the Vitoell must be drinking (potable) water quality. If the tank is used to heat other media, the warranty will be null and void. Damage resulting from exessive pressure or temperature is learly not the responsibility of Viessmann. The amount of hloride and sulfate aeptable to the tank is limited. In areas where high onentrations of hloride and sulfate are present in drinking water, please onsult Viessmann for diretions. Enter hart at left and draw horizontal line aross to reovery rate of 203 GPH or 3.4 GPM for 140 F (60 C) domesti hot water under olumn B. Where the horizontal line intersets the 194 F (90 C) urve is the point of intersetion for the diagonal line used to size the pump. The diagonal line begins at the origin and goes through the point of intersetion extending up to the top of the hart. Read between the referene diagonal lines to get a pump speifiation of 11.9 GPM at 5 ft. To summarize: For a Vitoell-V 100 with 119 USG (450 L) apaity and 170 MBH input, the boiler water temperature is 194 F (90 C), differene between boiler return and supply water temperature is 31 F (17 C), reovery rate is 3.4 GPM of 140 F (60 C) DHW, and the pump required is 11.9 GPM, 5 ft. plus pressure drop in piping and boiler. 17
