The waterproof panel frames are designed to interlock with each other and with the surrounding tiles. AA A PRACTICAL SOLAR POWER SUPPLY FOR INDIVIDUAL HOMES 1 The solar tiles produce DC (Direct Current) electricity from the sun s rays. 2 The inverter converts this electricity to AC (Alternating Current) identical to that of your grid supply. Installation of PVt solar panels AA SIMPLE 3-STEP INSTALLATION Whilst the PVt Solar Panels are designed to be installed by your roofing contractor in conjunction with the standard battens used for the surrounding tile, the electrical connection should be undertaken by an M.C.S. (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) accredited PV installer. Please note that the roof tiles which immediately surround each PVt panel should be mechanically fixed to their supporting batten. All elevations to be fitted with PVt solar panels should be counter-battened.
