observing areas, responds to calls, enforces traffic laws, investigates accidents, issues citations, clears roadways, conducts security checks, gathers information from the public or callers, processes crime scenes, interviews callers, and makes arrests. 6 S Completes administrative tasks by analyzing data, makes procedural recommendations, develops goals and objectives, reviews investigations, and interprets decisions; may assist in the collection of data in support of budget recommendations; may monitor program/project level budget and expenditures. 7 S Provides information and orders at briefings; advises officers of potential problems. 8 S Collects, prepares, and submits evidence for analysis, processing, or retention. 9 S ecommends personnel actions to command officers and assists in disciplinary proceedings. 10 S May oversee the work of a criminal investigative unit or a team of officers assigned to a specialized project or program. 11 S Maintains regular attendance and performs related duties as assigned. JB EQUIEMETS: Description of Minimum Job equirements ormal Education College level coursework (64 credit hours) in criminal justice, police science, public/business administration, or a related field. An Associate s Degree is preferred, and a Bachelor s Degree is highly desirable. Experience our (4) years successful experience as a sworn police officer with at least three (3) recent and consecutive years of satisfactory performance evaluations. Supervision Work requires supervising and monitoring performance for a regular group of employees including providing input on hiring, disciplinary actions, work objectives, effectiveness, performance evaluations, and realigning work as needed.
