Introduction Smith & Nephew User Gateway (SNUG) is a SSL VPN (Virtual Private Network) solution that provides users with seamless, secure remote access to Smith & Nephew network services and applications without the use of a FOB. SNUG provides simple and easy web access through a web browser. How Do I Get Access to SNUG? Smith & Nephew employees are given access rights automatically. If you received this guide as part of a roll-out announcement, you ready to start using SNUG. If you start SNUG and you get a message saying that you do not have permission to access resources, contact the Service Desk. Let them know that you are a Orthopedic Trauma/Recon sales representative and specify whether you are an employee or a 1099 and request to be set up. The Service Desk may ask for your manager s name and contact information, plus an e-mail from him or her, confirming that you are working for Smith & Nephew.
