PRESENTATION ATTEND THE WORLDWIDE HOSPITALITY AWARDS CEREMONY This international competition is an opportunity for hotel groups to highlight their teams exemplary achievements in communication, marketing, innovation, human resources, social and environmental responsability, customer loyalty programs... For more than 10 years, the Worldwide Hospitality Awards, created by Georges Panayotis, Chairman and CEO MKG Group have undertaken the promotion of hospitality industry initiatives all around the world. At the XIth edition, the Worldwide Hospitality Schools Awards were launched. A gateway is established with international hotel management schools and future managers. For this edition, hospitality companies themselves may present a contributor to their young ambition and promising career. The Hospitality Awards committee receives close to 150 applications in all categories from 25 countries on all 5 continents every year. They concern the top ten international hotel groups - representing more than 4 million rooms all around the world - as well as more recent brands, rising stars of an ever-changing industry. The Hospitality Awards thus are an excellent representation of the international hospitality industry diversity and help to reveal its innovative processes and concepts. A major innovation has been introduced in 2012 with the possibility for the readers of Hospitality-ON, hospitality news website, to vote and give a trend of five nominees who will be presented to the International Jury. This one will make its own selection, on relatives categories, of 3 finalists who, in the last round of selection, will be submitted to the verdict of the attendants of the ceremony. This ceremony will take place on November 12 th, 2013, at the InterContinental Paris Le Grand. 3

CATEGORIES 2013 BEST COMMUNICATION CAMPAIGN BEST MARKETING STRATEGY This Award will be attributed to distinguish a communication campaign developed by a hotel group or a brand for its domestic and/or international market. It may include various communication tools: TV spots, radio, magazines, displays, Internet... This Award will be attributed to distinguish a marketing operation, using Internet as a platform or not, that stimulates hotel activity through partnerships, creation of products, packages, concepts... BEST INITIATIVE IN «PEOPLE & TALENT MANAGEMENT» This Award will be attributed to a program that reveals the exemplary nature of its human resources policy in terms of recruitment, new employee integration, diversity, career development, performance assessment, motivation of personnel, company spirit. BEST INITIATIVE IN SOCIAL RESPONSABILITY This award will be attributed to an initiative or program that shows a brand or hotel group s implication in sustainable development, fair trade and/or the social responsibility of the company towards local population and staff, and/or tourist sites and natural resources. 5
CATEGORIES 2013 (SUITE) BEST INNOVATION ROOM AREA- PUBLIC AREA Each of these Awards will be attributed to a new concept, a new service or an initiative by a hotel group / hotel brand or an independent hotel. It provides a new vision of comfort or better service performance in terms of general settings, space management, technology and services in the room or restaurant, conference venues, spa... BEST GENERAL MANAGER ECONOMY/MIDSCALE, UPSCALE AND LUXURY/PALACE Each General Manager will be awarded according to the following criteria : - business performance - human and social dimension - implication in the local community - professional recognition by peers - involvement in community life GRAND PRIX HOSPITALITY-ON This trophy will be awarded by the international Jury to an international hospitality company that has left its mark in 2013 through its achievements in four complementary areas: development, innovation, human resources and commercial performances. LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT This trophy will be awarded by the Advisory Board to an international hospitality personality who has left his/her mark on the industry as a pioneer, an innovator, a company manager and for his/her successful career. 6
CATEGORIES 2013 (SUITE) BEST EDUCATIONAL INNOVATION BEST PROFESSIONAL SUCCESS This trophy rewards an innovating initiative that covers several fields (educational, sustainable development, international student exchange...). This action or mission aims at providing students with the necessary tools to be more operational in the catering and hospitality fields, and at strengthening the relationships between the trade and training institutions. This young professional must distinguish himself by his academic results and a promising and/or successful career debut. PRESIDENTS & JURIES Each year, figures from the hospitality industry chair the ceremony and the advisory board. They help to maintain the quality and improve the process of competition. JOYCE President & CEO, Choice Hotels International Puneet CHHATWAL Chief Executive Officer, Steigenberger Hotelgroup ADVISORY BOARD It is essentially made up of a president and twenty or so representatives of hotel schools and hotel groups and people in financing. It guarantees that selection follows good procedures by defining the categories and rules of the competition. It also intervenes in the selection of finalists and the winner of certain categories (cf article 11). Members of the steering committee are selected only by the organizing company and may not be contested by the candidates. INTERNATIONAL JURY The Jury of the Worldwide Hospitality Awards consists of a President and forty or so figures from the business world, the tourism industry and communications, outside the hotel-restaurant industry. The jury will gather on Thursday, October 17th, 2013 from 9am to 4pm at the InterContinental Paris Le Grand Hotel to select the finalists for certain categories (cf article 11). In case of a tie, President s choice is deciding. 8
