BM BICYCLE MOTOCROSS Bicycle motocross (BM) started in the late 1960s in California, around the same time that motocross became a popular sport in the USA. In April 1981, the International BM Federation was founded, and the first world championships were held in 1982. Thus, since January 1993 BM has been fully integrated into the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). The main BM areas in the world are the U.S.A., Europe and Australia, while South America has been growing rapidly over the past years. BM made a successful debut at the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing, China and made an explosive return at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
