The first section, Work Type Definition, provides a detailed explanation of the work type. The second section, Work Type Submittal Requirements, identifies the requirements a firm must meet to become pre-qualified to perform this work type for Hennepin County. Work Type Definition- Right-of-Way Surveys I. Description A. Right of Way Surveys includes all surveying duties, both field and office, needed for the development of a final right of way base map. Field work includes field location of alignment, property, and right of way monuments. Office work includes data processing, computations, research of old records, spotting title ownership, reviewing and interpreting legal documents, and base map preparation. II. III. IV. Standards and Specifications Standards and specifications required for a project under this work type may include the following: A. Work must comply with Department standards, local and state statutes and laws on surveying. Provided By Hennepin County Information to be supplied by Hennepin County for a project may include the following: A. MnDOT Geodetic Database B. MnDOT District Database C. MnDOT Surveying and Mapping Manuel D. MnDOT Right of Way Manuel E. MnDOT Technical Manuel F. Hennepin County Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) Data Standards G. Minnesota Land Surveying Statutes H. Hennepin County records Provided by Consultant Deliverables to be supplied by the consultant for a project may include the following: A. Right of way base map and survey report. B. Specific examples of deliverables: a. Certified base map signed by a Licensed Land Surveyor. b. Certified survey report signed by a Licensed Land Surveyor. c. Base map is to be both electronic, per Hennepin County standards, and hard copy. d. The survey report is to be a bound report. Work Type Definition- Land Surveys I. Description A. Land Survey is defined as the research and analysis of record and non-record information regarding section corner monuments of the Public Land Survey System. It includes the collection and compilation of field location data and the production of reports with supporting graphical and data files in compatible formats prescribed by Hennepin County standards and policies. II. III. IV. Standards and Specifications Standards and specifications required for a project under this work type may include the following: A. All survey work is done in accordance to the statutes and standards listed in the following Section III. Provided By Hennepin County Information to be supplied by Hennepin County for a project may include the following: A. MnDOT Geodetic Database B. MnDOT District Database C. County Surveyor Database D. MnDOT Surveying and Mapping Manual E. MnDOT Right of Way Manual F. MnDOT Technical Manual G. Minnesota Land Surveying Statutes H. Hennepin County Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) Data Standards I. Hennepin County records J. MnDOT Technical Memorandums Provided by Consultant Deliverables to be supplied by the consultant for a project may include the following: A. A Land Survey report. B. Submittal Requirements NOTE: A consultant firm becomes pre-qualified based on the qualifications of the personnel that are employed by the firm and by meeting the demonstrated equipment and CADD requirements. Key Personnel Requirements Minimum number of Key Personnel: Proof of Professional Certification/Licensure (Submit in PDF format) One professional Land Surveyor, licensed in Minnesota, having demonstrated experience in Right of Way surveys. One crew chief having demonstrated experience in Right of Way surveys. Professional must be a Minnesota Board Licensed Land Surveyor with the Minnesota State Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience, and Interior Design (AELSLAGID). Documentation Requirements I. Project Experience Submit PDF of Form PQ1 Complete Parts 1 and 2 of form PQ1 Part 1: Fill out general information and names of personnel, including other professional and technical support personnel. Fill out for each person listed in Part 1. Experience of the qualified staff must be demonstrated by reference to a minimum of two completed projects in the last ten years (maximum of five). The survey crew chief must have satisfactory experience demonstrated on at least two projects in the last ten years in all aspects of survey fieldwork. The Land Surveyor must demonstrate a minimum of two years experience in field and office duties including computations, datums, monumentation, and documentation. Must show a minimum two years demonstrated experience and knowledge in all aspects of processing and submitting data in a CADD environment. Part 2: Example Projects listed must correlate to those described below in Example Project Requirements March 22, 2016 Version Page 3 of 5

II. Example Projects Requirements Submit PDF of Form PQ2 A. Provide a description or submit a project cut-sheet as examples of at least two projects in the last ten years that show all aspects of highway right of way recovery, computations, datums, monumentation, and documentation. Projects used as examples must have produced a final report including certified map and/or pdf of signed finished product signed by Land Surveyor. B. Provide a description or submit a project cut-sheet as examples of at least a minimum of three examples within the last ten years of previous project work meeting the requirements stated above. 1.
