Master of Science in Public Policy and Management (MSPPM) 12 Month The Master of Science in Public Policy and Management (MSPPM) is a 12 month program designed for professionals who are seeking to advance their careers in a shorter period of study. The program is tailored for students aspiring to assume positions in policy development, implementation and evaluation, and to manage these functions in government, non-profit organisations, international organisations and the private sector. The program combines a comprehensive public policy and management curriculum with an industry based System Synthesis Project. These real-world components, provide students with workexperience and industry knowledge to advance their career and to further differentiate graduates in the competitive global market. The goal of these projects is to provide students with the skills necessary for structuring, managing, and carrying out projects within an organisation and the opportunity to consolidate and apply the skills and knowledge they have developed in previous coursework in a team-based approach to a real problem. Independent Study Independent study allows students to undertake an elective course through one-on-one interaction with a professor rather than in a class format and counts for up to 12 units towards the degree. Independent study gives students the flexibility to direct their own coursework and align this coursework with their interests, career and research goals. Career Outcomes MSPPM graduates work for some of the top employers and organisations. Graduates often advance in their current organisations or pursue more senior positions at consulting firms, financial services firms and government organisations. Roles include: Auditor, Business Analyst, Consultant, Ministerial Liaison Officer, Policy Advisor, Program Manager, Project Manager, Operations Manager, Research Analyst, Strategic Planning Specialist and Senior Regulatory Analyst.
