They can be used as the basis for future progression, or to improve breadth of knowledge and insight into the subject for practitioners and managers from other areas of IT. Intermediate level The intermediate level certificates examine the subject area in greater detail than the foundation level and provide a bridge to the practitioner level certificates. Practitioner level The practitioner level focuses on specific skills or subject areas and a more detailed understanding and application of knowledge to demonstrate how the IT professional can be effective in that area. Higher level Higher level certificates are aimed at specialists or managers who have an in-depth knowledge of their subject area.
