If the creative industries balance of payments is positive, it can be concluded that the country is successful in initiating the creative process and producing creative goods for which there is demand in the international environment. This approach is relevant for creative industries in the developed countries. Namely, developing countries (excluding China and Hong Kong) have long addressed the import of high-level creativisation. Dimensions of the creative sector in those countries are limited and not diversified enough to answer a wide area of their needs. The aim of this article is to review the export-import flows of creative industries in Serbia, as well as the balance of imports and exports of creative goods and services and its position in the establishment of (dis) equilibrium in the overall balance of payments.
