AU7 30931 MAR 216 N01 Principles of Marketing Kerker 3 25-Jan-16 11-Mar-16 120 What you must know about taking online classes Online courses are NOT EASIER than on campus classes. In fact, many students will say it requires much more time and commitment. Online courses are NOT SELF-PACED or independent learning. You are required to complete course work by the due dates indicated by the instructor within the course. Online courses USE TECHNOLOGY. You need to be comfortable with up and down loading your assignments as well as moving them in and out of your word processing software. You must be willing and able to commit your time, approximately 8-10 hours of work per week, per course. There are two ways you may take online classes through NJC NJC Online and Hybrid Classes These classes are taught by NJC instructors and they are designated in the class listings as those classes with an H (Hybrid ) or N (Online) in the section number. See pages 39-40 in this booklet for a list of these classes. You may enroll and do all your work for these classes through the NJC website www.njc.edu CCCOnline Classes These classes are offered through the state community college system. This Spring 16, four different sessions will be offered. One 15 weeks, one 10 weeks and two 6 weeks in length. You may sign up for these classes and designate NJC as your home college. Your grade will show up on your NJC transcript just as if you had taken it through NJC. See pages 41-43 for a list of these classes. You may enroll and do all your work for these classes through the CCCOnline website: http://ccconline.org/ Know the difference. The successful student will view their online course as a convenient way to receive their education, not an easier way. 40 Northeastern Junior College Spring 2016 Schedule
