WHAT IS SCADA? SCADA stands for Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition. This simply means you connect to your system s information through our secure servers. Internet-hosted means you can access it anywhere you have an Internet connection and can control it remotely, through any computer or mobile device such as a tablet or smart phone with an Internet connection. WHAT IS KISM? KI System Master (KISM) is an easy-to-use remote monitoring system which also provides alarming and control capabilities of your equipment 24 hours a day. We provide each customer with their own personal and secure KISM Website to view and operate their equipment. This feature provides customers access to their system from any computer with Internet Explorer. KISM grows with your needs, communicating with both your legacy hardware and new products you choose to install. KISM is able to monitor different types of equipment simultaneously, with its built - in communication protocols. KI System Master - Keeping You Connected.

ACCESSIBILITY KI System Master Internet connectivity allows KISM users the freedom to monitor and control their processes from anywhere, anytime. By combining this capability with industry-standard Internet security and server failover, the KISM Internet client becomes as reliable as an onsite, full-installation SCADA server. KISM Provides three ways to remotely access your custom SCADA screens: KISM Website: Using Internet Explorer on any computer with an Internet connection. Mobile Browser: On any smart phone with a Web browser. Remote Desktop: Remotely view a physical computer running the Internet Client.

SECURITY Each user is secured with their own username and password. An administrator account is provided to each system to allow management of the security privileges of each user. KISM provides the following security features: 40 default security privileges with up to 64,000 custom security privileges. Security permissions can be granted or revoked. Changes to security are system wide and effective immediately. Military-grade Internet Security including firewalls, SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption, and VPN connections. Accounts are disabled following repeated failed login attempts, and must be re-enabled by an administrator. KISM server hardware and network devices are installed and secured in Michigan.

HISTORIAN & TRENDING KI System Master The KISM historian records alarms and Inputs/Outputs (I/O) data through specially designed logger tags. Logged data is maintained in individual binary files which reduces data file size. Using this feature, all data is recorded up to 160,000 values per second. This structure allows fast access time and easy archival of data. As an example of how much historical data may be stored on the KISM system, a customer with 1,500 I/O points saving 10 years of data will only require 10 GB of hard drive space. The KISM sever is built with 8,000 GB of hard drive space.

ALARMS & NOTIFICATIONS Alarms notify you of certain conditions or events within your physical equipment, including equipment failures and values that have risen higher or fallen lower than normal. With the alarm page you can view, acknowledge, and review current and past events. KISM allows you to receive alerts via e-mail, text messaging, pager notifications and by text-to-voice phone calls. Calling into the KISM system allows you to acknowledge alarms, check equipment status, change set points, and send commands to equipment.

REPORTING KI System Master The Report Generator is an integrated feature and is included in KISM. Reports can be run on an as-required basis, or can be saved and scheduled to run automatically for any designed time range. Reports may output to a screen, email, database file, or to Excel. KISM s report generator provides a variety of options to choose from including industry standard and customer designed templates.

COMMUNICATIONS CELLULAR MODEM KISM is able to communicate with your equipment through Verizon cellular service. The benefits of using cellular include: high -speed data on 3G service, connectivity to remote locations and the ability to get equipment online with KISM without involving the IT department.
