Company Profile Founded in 1995 by our current Vice President (Gil Lund Sr), Lund Engineering, Inc. (LEI) began developing a consulting engineering business around its broad experience base. From complex semiconductor equipment to large movable structures, LEI gained success and grew, pursuing projects in a variety of industries and customer bases. Today LEI has built upon its consulting engineering business to include electromechanical equipment design, procurement, manufacture, test and support. While maintaining positive growth since 2003, LEI has strived to keep our commitment to our customers while increasing our capacity as a company. The base of our business is always strong engineering first. We believe this foundation steers our future vision in a sound direction. Lund Engineering believes that our clients are partners and our responsibility to them is more than just as a supplier. Through our headquarters and main assembly/test facility in Seattle, WA, LEI provides a full service engineering and development environment to service a variety of industries. Additional strategic alliances with other engineering and industrial partners allow LEI to handle very large projects without the overhead of traditional engineering and manufacturing firms. Space Launch Complexes Lund Engineering continues to work on developing and maintaining mechanical and electrical systems for both Lockheed Martin and Boeing s Space Launch Complexes. Semiconductor Lund Engineering has shared a development partnership with Semitool, Inc. for over 15 years. During this time, Semitool has used LEI resources to develop innovative equipment for semiconductor wafer prossessing. This equipment includes the following technologies: o Electroplating o Backside Film Etch o Cu Backside Etch and Bevel Etch o Supercritical CO2 Processing (300 mm Wafer) o Container Dry and Clean o Wafer Clean (Single and Multi Wafer) o Thermal Processing Furnaces
Commercial Aerospace Lund Engineering shares a close proximity and development partnership with Boeing Aerospace. During the past 13 years, LEI has developed new technologies and delivered equipment to Boeing to support their commercial airplane programs. With the advent of the 787 composite airplane, LEI has developed composite manufacturing technologies and delivered fully functioning machines (over 26 unique designs and 40 machines). These include: o Graphite Composite Tape Laying Forming Cure Tooling Curing Co-Curing Bonding NDI (Ultrasonic and Visual) Tape Slitting Laser Template Hand Layup Machining Many of the processes being used to manufacture the 787 wing are Boeing technology developed by LEI.
Large Movable Structures Lund Engineering uses our innovative engineering skills at developing high tech complex equipment to push the envelope of large movable structures.
