Campaign Monitor Overview Campaign Monitor is a software package that is used to send e-mail messages formatted as newsletters or announcements. The e-mail messages that Campaign Monitor sends are short and flashy with the aim of driving its subscribers to take action. Campaign Monitor features: Templates for creating engaging, interactive e-mails. Managed subscription lists. Metrics to track results of each campaign, including number of e-mails opened and links clicked. Successful Campaigns are: Scan-friendly. Readers can easily scan the e-mail to find the important messages. Short. The main information of the e-mail is visible when opened no scrolling required. Adhere to the university s Writing Style Guide. Located at: nau.edu/marketing/guidelines- Standards/ Additional Info about Campaign Monitor Accounts NAU HTML newsletter templates are available within Marketing's Campaign Monitor account. o Marketing maintains this blanket CM account and creates sub-accounts for clients across campus. This allows Marketing to share approved templates while maintaining autonomy for clients to manage and send their own campaigns. Each client provides a list of approved publishers who then have access to their department's or organization's account. o Marketing has access to all client accounts but access is reserved for the purpose of providing new templates as they become available, and providing limited technical support. It is ultimately the client's responsibility to draft content, build subscription lists, acquire necessary approvals and pay associated costs (for metrics only). o It is the responsibility of the client to build and manage subscription lists according to existing regulations.
