3 Share Newsletters on Facebook and Twitter Social media and marketing are a powerful combination. Now it s time to take social media integration to a higher level. At GetResponse, sharing your newsletters on your Twitter and Facebook profile and Facebook Fan Page is as easy as You can add multiple Facebook and Twitter accounts to your campaigns and automatically share your newsletters with your friends, fans and followers. Add to integrations To get started, click the My account button in the upper right side of your account and choose Integrations. There you can add multiple Twitter and Facebook accounts. In the new window, click a social media click icon then click the Connect button to add a Twitter or Facebook account. 3

4 You will be asked to verify your Twitter or Facebook account details and allow GetResponse access. After you verify the accounts, they are available for you to select whenever you create and distribute your newsletters. Share your newsletters When you are working on your newsletter and reach the Settings step of Creator, turn ON the Facebook and/or Twitter integrations and choose the account you want to instantly updated with your newsletter link when sent. 4

5 Customize message In the box that appears, choose an account and create a Message to be displayed on the profile with a link to your newsletter. The Message field is limited to 150 characters. View shared newsletters Visitors to your Twitter profile, Facebook profile and Fan Page can click the link provided to view your message displayed in your campaign archive page. In this area of the website, visitors have the option to subscribe your campaign. From that point forward, you can tweet out your newsletters and share them on Facebook automatically. Or auto-magically! This lets you extend the reach of your campaigns to nonsubscribers (let s call them not-yet-subscribers) across the Internet. Just imagine how powerful this could be for driving deeper engagement and growing your list! After all, social media depends on at its most basic level you can t even create a social profile without an address. Using them together really maximizes their effectiveness. The trick is to learn how to use them as a team. So give your newsletters more social power and let them extend their lives across the global web. Social Sharing icons According to our most recent survey of GetResponse users, 88.8% of respondents said they plan to increase the use of sharing options in their marketing. So instead of having to grab icons and links individually for sites like Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+ and Pinterest, you can insert a row of popular social media icons with one click and let your readers share your newsletters via social networks or forward it their friends. This helps you reach a much bigger audience. 5

6 To find statistics for Social Sharing, choose Statistics in the Dashboard menu and click Analytics. Then click the Social Media tab. Add Social Sharing icons The editor inside our new Creator enables you to add rows of social media icons. In the Create step, click the Social sharing tab on the right side of the screen to see your choices. Simply drag any block of icons and drop it into the message. To move social media icons within the newsletter, hover the mouse over the social media icon block then click-and-drag the Move block icon. 6

7 Campaign Archive Page When sharing via social media, your messages are displayed in the GetResponse Campaign Archive page. Your section of the archive is automatically updated every time you send out something new, so you don t have to do a thing except add your custom touches and promote it. You ll be astonished how easy it is to brand the archive homepage with your own logo, description, and more. And of course it comes with easy Social Sharing options to spread your story and attract new subscribers. Think of your GetResponse Campaign Archive as a virtual business card, resource library, and product showcase all in one! And you don t need any technical or Web skills to make your branded site a place your target audiences will want to visit again and again. Customize the archive page In the upper right side of your account, choose a campaign name from the Your current campaign dropdown list. Then click the Settings icon to the right of the campaign name. Click the Profile tab and scroll down the page. At the bottom, click Newsletter directory to display a link to your web archive and preview the site. Your Newsletter directory can be customized in the Profile tab of your campaign settings. There you can add your logo, link it to your website and add a campaign title to be displayed. 7

8 Social media on archive page By default, the Newsletter Directory main page is equipped with a social media button linked to your FanPage, if it has been integrated under My account>>integrations. Your Newsletter directory site includes a sign-up form to capture new subscribers. Every Web page of your newsletter has social media buttons at the top that enable visitors to share your message on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, Pinterest. 8

9 Add a Sign-up Form to Facebook A new and easy process lets GetResponse account holders capture subscribers directly from their Facebook fan pages. It only takes about two minutes to implement, and you only need: 1. A Facebook fan page. 2. The free GetResponse application. 9

10 Add the GetResponse application Make sure you re logged into your Facebook account then go to our application on Facebook you can find it here: Choose the Facebook Fan page Click the Add to Fan Page button and, in the new window, choose the page where you want to add a sign-up form. Confirm your choice by clicking the Add Page tab. Now go to your Fan Page and click the Sign up tab. You will be asked to log in to your GetResponse account. In the new window, choose a sign-up form from the dropdown list. Add text to be displayed on the tab a message to encourage visitors to sign up and to explain what they receive. Specify the alignment of the form and text. Note: basic HTML tags are allowed: <div> <p> <span> <a> <br> <h1> <h2> <h3> <style> <b> <u> <i> Click Save to go to a page where you can confirm the whole process. You can preview your tab at any time and make necessary adjustments. Edit the name of the signup tab inside your Facebook Fan page account. Choose Edit Page>>Admin roles>>apps>>edit settings. Provide new name in Custom tab name and click Save. 10

11 Subscription via Facebook There are many ways to boost list growth with social media. One of the most secure and reliable is a well-designed sign-up form better yet: a sign-up form that fills-in automatically, so your subscriber-to-be can just click the Sign In button. And now you have such an option inside GetResponse. This function works only with visitors who are logged in to their Facebook accounts and are on your website. On your site, visitors see your sign-up form in the Facebook standard format auto-filled with information from their Facebook profile: their name and address. All they need to do is click one button no typing required. To enable this function, go to your web form editor settings and enable the Subscription via Facebook option. 11

12 RSS-to- This feature can link to your blog and let subscribers know about new content. To get started, choose Messages in the Dashboard menu and click Create RSS-to- . In the Settings step, provide the RSS Feed URL then choose frequency. Click the first button if you want subscribers to be notified Every time a new RSS article is posted. If you want to send out a digest of multiple posts, click the second button and choose the Frequency, Filter option, and number of Articles to include. Next, define a Message name, Subject line and choose a From field address. Note that you can Personalize the message using dynamic data fields. Choose whether to enable or disable Clickthrough or use Google Analytics. In the Template step, choose one of the predesigned templates, which can be edited and customized in the Create step, just like any other Newsletter or Follow-up message. The Recipients and Summary steps also work much the same as when you create a Newsletter. If you wish, you go back to any previous stage with by clicking the icons across the top. 12
