Optical Networks and Systems Research Lines Two generic research lines: Network control and service management: Advanced network control and management systems for the dynamic and adaptive deployment of network services, such as connectivity and virtual infrastructure services, in multilayer and multi-domain optical transport networks Optical transmission and subsystems: Spectrally-efficient transmission systems, advanced performance monitoring and impairment mitigation techniques, flexible technologies and subsystems for highcapacity optical transport networks Demonstration is performed by means of: The ADRENALINE testbed, a set of test platforms for experimental research on future networks and internet 15
