1. Who we are We are ESEI College. Our team is composed of: ESEI International Business School ESEI Business School is a tertiary educational institution which has been part of the community for the last 20 years. ESEI Business school offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees with UK accreditation. ESEI s team is international and all lectures are delivered in English. It is located in the Pedralbes area in Barcelona. Tennis Management USA-tmUSA- This institution is dedicated to the administration of scholarship programmes in tennis in the U.S.. It has been part of the sports community for the last 8 years, and has obtained scholarships for tennis players in top universities in accordance with the player s academic level and capacity for sports. Spanish and American Educational System: IMMACULADA CONCEPCIÓ de GAVA (Barcelona) along with AESA Prep School (Austin, Texas) are the official educational centers that form part of ESEI College. 2. ESEI COLLEGE ESEI College works with both the Spanish and American Educational systems, and its main objective is to offer the students (tennis players) the possibility to complete a high school diploma and continue with their sports education. ESEI college is based on individualized attention for students who find it difficult to balance their commitment to furthering their sporting career and their academic commitments. Students are enrolled in the Spanish system and can choose between two options in order to obtain the high school diploma. They can either follow the Spanish educational system, or follow the American educational system. Both systems are administered by ESEI College teachers. The Spanish educational system is administered on-site in ESEI College. The American educational system is administered using the online platform created by AESA PREP SCHOOL in Austin, Texas, U.S., which follows the American educational curriculum. The follow-up tutorials, remedial and re-inforcement sessions will take place at 4Slam Tennis Academy, and will be delivered by the International/American staff of ESEI College. Our educational mission: Our objective is to adapt the curriculum, be that the Spanish or the American, to every student s needs. These needs include: their timetable (according to their sports training), academic needs (ranging from remedial sessions to academic accelerations, continuous evaluation and academic individual tutorials), linguistic needs (re-enforcement sessions to secure the success in overcoming the linguistic difficulties of each subject taught in English), and pastoral care needs (follow up on every student s emotional well-being through regular tutorial sessions,and educational psychology sessions). 4. ESEI COLLEGE: Following the American Educational System ESEI College is the representative of AESA Prep School (Texas, U.S) in Spain. AESA Prep School stands for Academic Excellence for the Scholar, Athlete, and Artist. - They are a private college prep school with SACS accreditation (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools) as of August 29th, 2011. This is the same governing body that provides the accreditation for The University of Texas. Following AESA PREP SCHOOL s curriculum and online platform (at ESEI College) allows a more flexible timetable, more access to the wide range of learning abilities in the classroom, and therefore the implementation of academic inclusion and differentiation in each of the students individual study plans.
AESA PREP SCHOOLS s core academic courses are NCAA approved as of June 13th, 2012. Our Junior and Senior students are encouraged to take The University of Texas of Austin Extension Dual credit courses British Literature, Micro-Economics, American Government, and Rhetoric and Grammar. All AESA-ESEI College courses focus on the curriculum content as well as the study skills needed to be proficient in each course. Organizational skills are taught in each course to ensure that our students are adequately prepared to transition easily into collegiate academics and be truly successful. Algebra I Algebra 2 Geometry Pre-Calculus Calculus : This is a one-year course designed for the accelerated 12th grade mathematics student who is considering advanced placement in college or wishes to have maximum preparation for college calculus.
