College counseling specialists support students with individual SAT testing, ESL, academic, career, and personal counseling. 2 Requirements of Maryknoll High School Admissions (All documents must be translated into English.) 1. The student must reside with a qualified American host family or live in resident dormitory for two or more years. 2. The student must be able to obtain a valid F-1 visa. 3. As of September 30th of the enrollment year, the student must be between 12 and 18 years of age. 4. Student must be English proficient (test scores meet or approach preferred requirements, see p.4 Student Selection Preferences ). A copy of his/her health immunization records, translated into English. 7. Two teacher recommendations from professional staff members in the student s home school, translated into English. Other Personal Requirements (Determined through interview process) Maturity of applicant. Exhibit appropriate behavior in a variety of situations showing social and cross-cultural sensitivity. The ability to manage overseas study and maintain a high academic standard. Capacity to act as an ambassador of Maryknoll School.
