He has over 20 years experience working with clients throughout the United States and international business communities, in financial services, government, information technology, and education sectors of business. Mr. Lerner served as an Executive with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority Business Service Center, where he was responsible for managing the largest PeopleSoft Shared Services Project in the history of the United States within the public sector, managing over 200 employees and consultants. He also helped build this organization from the ground up with a handful of other Executives, which is now one of the seven New York City Metropolitan Transportation Authority Agencies. He has headed up many State and City government technology projects, partnering with United States Department of Motor Vehicles Jurisdictions, United States Department of Homeland Security, FBI and Department of Criminal Justice Services. He is an adjunct instructor at New York University s School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS), teaching courses in information technology management and Agile project management. Kim has worked in the financial services industry for over a decade. Kim has been a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), by the Project Management Institute (PMI), since 2004. She has been an active member with PMI since 2005, holding the board level positions of VP of Professional Development, and Chapter Vice President in Los Angeles, CA as part of the Los Padres Chapter. In 2000, Paula founded Athena Enterprises Inc. specializing in Project Management Consulting, Coaching and Training. Currently Paula is the President/CEO of Athena Enterprises Inc.; in addition Paula is a Certified Leadership Trainer for Dale Carnegie. Since joining PMI NYC in 2006, Paula has been an active volunteer and advocate for the chapter and is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Paula has an MBA in Management Information Systems from Pace University and has worked in the project management field for twenty years beginning with Philip Morris International, then JP Morgan. Some of Paula s consulting clients have included: Guardian Life Insurance, Park Avenue Securities, MMLISI, ING and National Financial partners SI. Prior to working there he has worked in the IT field in various capacities as Programmer, Analyst, Project Leader, Project Manager and a Product Support Manager on a variety of projects. He has worked for companies in the private sector such as J.P Morgan, Software Design Associates, Merrill Lynch, PeopleSoft and Credit Suisse in addition to the public sector including the Department of Labor and Department of Education as well as a private consultant for HBO. Projects varied but project management principles contributed to the successful implementations of such projects as the Syndication Transmission System, Central Liabilities System, Stock Certification System, Non Negotiable Instrument Tracking System, HBO Billing System as well as a statewide Unemployment Insurance Financial System in Alaska and a statewide Student Tracking System in Louisiana.
