Project Information Title: Project Number: Project Type: Year: 2010 Status: Marketing Text: Summary: European Safety standards in Industrial automation for SMEs (SAFESME) 2010-1-TR1-LEO05-16980 Transfer of Innovation granted SafeSME objectives provide elearning content in occupational health and safety (OHS) with the goal of training workers, engineers and technicians, enterprise managers, and consultants in OHS aspects The SafeSME project is targeting to generate a new approach on Occupational Health and Security (OHS) to provide the growing SME community using modern automated systems with the required legislation/safety practices know how regarding planning, implementation and operation of these technologies. A challenging goal of SafeSME is to facilitate the proper implementation of the national and EU regulations, and to support SMEs in the implementation of the legislation in force. To achieve this goal and to overcome the information lack at SMEs, SafeSME is aiming at application of a combination of innovative elearning based training with co-operative groups among SMEs and transnational virtual study circles based on web based experience share platform. By this means SafeSME will reach the SME community needs, by combing elearning technologies with social aspects of face-to-face-communication, with the possibility of time and location independent learning. To realise this ambitious goal due to transfer and adaptation of existing innovative results from previous projects, SafeSME has set up a partnership providing required expertise and knowledge on elearning technologies, legislation/safety practices regarding automated systems and organisation/execution of vocational trainings. Technically seen SafeSME is aiming to implement a WEB Platform about Safety sandards in automation based on the results of LdV Project ASMAS. By combination of innovative technologies with social aspects of face-to-face-communication, SafeSME will meet key SME needs, taking into account their limited resources available as well as time constraints caused by high daily work load 2
