DID YOU KNOW? The Avon Community Church of Avon, Minnesota recognizes the rite of Baptism to be the external sign of the inward workings of the Holy Spirit. Jesus teaching on baptism is the guide for our church. An individual is baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus did not mention the method of baptism; therefore, immersion, pouring, and sprinkling are acceptable methods of baptism. However, the church typically performs baptism by immersion. Individuals wishing to be baptized or have their child baptized/dedicated are expected to meet with of the pastoral staff prior to the administration of the ordinance. As a church family, we practice Believer s Baptism. ACC s Annual Summer Picnic & Baptism August 23, 2015 This year s festivities will be held on the ACC church grounds right after our worship service. It will Pastor Chuck s first Sunday back after his sabbatical. Sign-up for Baptism by the office reception window in the main foyer! You can set this up one time and have it happen on a regular basis weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or however you like.
