Sample Forms Taxi and limousine drivers drive automobiles and limousines to transport passengers. Taxi and limousine drivers are employed by taxi and other transportation service companies, or they may be self-employed. l Check out the VECTOR work video before completing the tasks. Tasks NOC 7413 Taxicab Driver Take Sheet Receipt School Run Essential Skills Focus Document Use Measurement and Calculation 1 2 3 Oral Communication Problem Solving Taxicab Drivers complete Take Sheets to keep track of the daily pick-ups and drop-offs of customers. Look at the United Taxi Take Sheets. Task 1 A Taxicab Driver has 3 customers within the first hour of work. The following are the takes or amounts paid by customers (either by credit card charge or in cash): 1. Charge $28.20 2. Charge $23.10 3. Cash $19.70 Fill in the Take Sheet for these 3 customers and write the total of the takes in the subtotal column. Document Use Task 2 The total on the Taxicab Driver s take sheet for the day is $437.90 and should be the same as the total on the dispatch computer system in the taxi. The computer total is $444.70. How much is the amount collected different from the amount on the dispatch system? Measurement and Calculation 1

Taxicab Drivers are required to fill out receipts for customers who ride the taxi using corporate accounts. Look at the receipt form. Task 3 A Taxicab Driver has picked up a customer from the bus depot and must drive them to the Holiday Inn on Kings Road. The trip costs $16.30. The dispatch receiver shows that the pick-up time was 1:13 p.m. and the drop-off time was 1:28 p.m. The corporate account is Life Insurance Canada. Does the driver require any further information to complete the form, and if the driver does need further information, what is it? Document Use Taxicab Drivers may be responsible for school runs where they will be picking up students who are either disabled or outside the regular catchment area of the school buses. Four children aged 7 to 10 are picked up on this route. Road conditions were icy and the children were scared. The taxicab driver decides to enter information into the comment section. Enter the information into the comments section that the taxicab driver should state. Document Use Taxicab Drivers fill out charge slips when a customer pays using VISA, Mastercard or American Express. Task 5 A trip costs $23.10 and the customer pays using VISA. The taxicab driver enters the card number in the dispatch receiver to receive an Authorization No. The authorization comes back as denied. The driver will need to explain to the customer that the card cannot be used and provide the customer with alternative solutions. When you are ready, record your answer. Oral Communication 2
