BridgeWay Fixed Base Radio Telecom VoIP Gateway PRODUCT OVERVIEW BridgeWay BridgeWay provides universal interoperability between Land Mobile Radio (LMR) base stations, SATCOM terminals, cell phones, headsets, telephone systems and VoIP networked communication terminals, such as laptops, workstations and IP telephones. BridgeWay is available in rack mount, desk top, mobile and rugged Mil-STD-810 configurations. This document covers BridgeWay 1u and 2u rack mount and desk top systems. BridgeWay supports radio repeater and cross-band patching operations, while simultaneous calls may be placed between mobile radios, SATCOM terminals, PBX and telephone networks, cell phone, IP phone, and PC based operator consoles. BridgeWay also supports multiple intercom communication networks between operators. BridgeWay supports all types of conventional and digitally controlled radios and telephone equipment, command/control center workstation consoles and VoIP networked communication terminals. RADIO INTEROPERABILITY Bridgeway radio ports feature transformer isolated 4- wire audio and universally programmable signaling control ports. BridgeWay programmable signaling ports will interface with all conventional, IP Radios, E&M and digitally controlled radio base stations. The BridgeWay optional digital radio interface connects to digitally controlled radio base stations, as well as cellular phones and IP Radios, via RS-232, RS-422/RS-485 or Ethernet ports. Universal interfacing to any type of radio base station is achieved via BridgeWay s software programmable messaging protocols. BridgeWay may also transmit and receive data between IP networked terminals and radio serial or IP data ports. TELECOM INTEROPERABILITY BridgeWay may be equipped with an optional T1/E1 ISDN span port for integration with command and control center PBX systems, the PSTN or for connection to trunking radio and SATCOM systems. Optional POTS line cards supporting 12 FXO and 4 FXS telephone ports or 24 FXS ports are available for interfacing with POTS telephone handsets, 2 and 4 wire telephone trunk lines and encryption devices. VoIP GATEWAY 10/100bT Ethernet IP connections are provided for VoIP communications. VoIP data may be AES encrypted, or an external module may be added for Type 1 crypto operation over the Ethernet network. BridgeWay may be optionally equipped with an embedded H.323 or SIP Gateway supporting up to 128 VoIP terminal devices, such as IP telephones, PC laptops and operator workstations. MC 2 COMMAND/CONTROL GUI The BridgeWay MC 2 command and control operator console option comprises an embedded call manager and web server communicating over VoIP with a PC based JAVA client GUI. The on-board MC 2 software eliminates the necessity for external server and call manager equipment. The MC 2 client GUI provides operator command and control over multiple radios and telephones, radio and telephone cross patching and intercom

MC 2 client GUI will run on any laptop, computer or workstation supporting a standard web browser and JAVA scripts. Multiple BridgeWay systems may be networked together and console operators may log in on to any terminal located on the network. BridgeWay is compatible with third party call management servers and operator terminal GUI software using multicast techniques, such as Twisted Pair Wave software. Tactical Communications offers BridgeWay MC 2 client GUI software customized to your project requirements. Alternatively, the BridgeWay MC 2 client GUI source code may be licensed to facilitate developing customized client workstation GUI s. TIGER COMMAND/CONTROL GUI As an alternative to MC 2, the BridgeWay Tiger command and control console software providing fully featured dispatch operator console positions is available. POWER AND ALARM OPTIONS The 1u BridgeWay is available with an auto-switching 110/220 VAC power supply. The 2u BridgeWay is available with 110/220VAC, 12VDC or -48 VDC dual redundant power supplies. The 2u BridgeWay also features a chassis alarm module, as well as optional 1:1 redundant circuit cards.
