Implementation of a new research activity dealing with tissue engineering in general, and spinal cord regeneration in particular. 2006-2007: Post-Doctoral assignment: Spinal cord regeneration project. The Shea Lab for Cellular and Tissue Engineering, Northwestern University, Chicago. BAEF (Belgian-American Educational Foundation) post-doctoral fellowship. 2002-2006: Research assistant in the Pharmaceutical Technology Unit, (PhD student in pharmaceutical sciences), Catholic University of Louvain (Brussels, Belgium). 2003: Uppsala University (Sweden), Department of Pharmacy, Prof. Artursson lab ; Invited scientist for a 6 months stay in the context of FIRST Europe fellowship.
