One Call - One Click Pelivan Transit works in collaboration with Mobility Manager - Indian Nation Council of Governments (INCOG) to not only coordinate services in the Pelivan service area but throughout the entire northeastern Oklahoma region. Set up options available for riders to obtain necessary information for their transportation needs. Technology availability and usage must be simple, straight forward and easy to navigate for the riders.
Pelivan Transit along with multiple other transit providers in Oklahoma and the Indian Nations Council of Governments received funding in Round I and Round II of FTA s Veterans Transportation Initiatives. These initiatives are increasing much needed transportation services to veterans throughout northeastern Oklahoma for medical treatment and social services appointments. These grants allowed Pelivan Transit to introduce new technology to streamline our current transportation system and to integrate with others.
RouteMatch TS with a Mobility Management Platform was chosen A scheduling and route optimization system integrated with data management modules. Automated dispatching, automated billing and cost allocation, and enterprise reporting and data analysis. Can be deployed in client/server or web based environment. We installed our own servers.

RouteMatch created Data Interchanges especially for Oklahoma and Pelivan Transit for the following items: Logisticare patch for Medicaid Rides To access rider manifest information via Imports/Exports. Veterans Adminstration and INCOG Mobility Management Data Interchanges patches Importing rider manifest information from both agencies ODOT Transit Assist/Myleonet NTD statewide rural database export patch To export internal information to outside database for reporting
Centralizing a Call Center (Spring 2013) Customer Service Representatives, Route Schedulers, and Verifyers will be located at Grand Gateway/Pelivan Transit s Headquarters in Big Cabin, OK. Advanced scheduling will occur at a centralized location with a VOIP Telephone System. Five De-centralized Dispatch Centers Located throughout Pelivan Transit service area (Big Cabin, Claremore, Grove, Miami, Owasso, OK offices) utilizing only one 800# for entire system. Staff available in these facilities to provide same day and will call dispatching services with the drivers.
Customer Service Representatives (CSR) Take the calls and books the trips, Route Schedulers & Verifyers Optimizes the booked trips and finalizes driver manifests Same Day Dispatchers & Route Supervisors Work in outlying areas for same-day dispatching and daily transit needs in each of the communities.
10 Galaxy Tablets by Samsung were purchased through Verizon through a WSCA (governmental multiple states contract) with $39.00 unlimited data plan per unit. Tablets cost $429 each.
Phase One We went LIVE the week of April 9 th 2012. We brought up one dispatch location at a time throughout the implementation start-up week. Drivers Manifests are being printed during interim period awaiting Mobile Data Devices to be interfaced between the Centers and Vehicles. Phase Two Integration of Mobile Data Devices & Program Scheduled to GO LIVE week of October 22, 2012. Phase Three Addition of Fixed Routes Software Program Addition of Integrated Voice Recorder (IVR) Addition of 100 more Mobile Data Devices with collaboration project with GLMH (Fall 2013).
START MONTHS EARLIER TO COMMUNICATE THE UPCOMING CHANGES Staff Train Train and then Train some more! Goal is to make sure the staff is as comfortable as possible before software goes On Line. City Managers and All Stakeholders Educate on software and its potential for efficiency. Educate on any changes that needs to be address on a municipal level and why changes were necessary. Public Make sure the public is well informed of the changes and most importantly how it is going to affect THEM.
Pelivan Transit is currently in negotiation with more agencies to integrate their present transportation systems into the Pelivan Transit Fleet by creating a Mobility Management Network: Addressing gaps and overlaps in transportation services. Creating user friendly technology links for riders through our website, online booking portal, social media interactions, onboard DVD advertising and WiFi. Moving the route scheduling from same day to advanced scheduling to group trips in a more efficient and economical manner.
