It is recommended that students meet with a Student Services advisor the semester prior to earning the Associate of Arts and Science (AAS) degree to verify degree requirements. Other courses offered but not listed on this worksheet may apply toward the AAS degree. If a specific course is not listed, please refer to the course catalog as it may have been offered in previous years and will still apply to the degree. This worksheet is to be used as a planning guide only. Course availability is subject to change without notice. Please consult with an academic advisor. ENG 098, MAT 081, MAT 090, MAT 091, & LEA 102 are remedial credit courses and do not count or apply toward the AAS degree. DEGREE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE AAS DEGREE 1. A minimum of 60 credits is required. 2. The UW Colleges General Education Requirements must be fulfilled. 3. At least 24 of the 60 credits must be completed within the UW Colleges and at least 12 of the last 24 credits must be earned within the UW Colleges. 4. A student must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 earned at the UW Colleges and a 2.0 GPA in credits applied to the Associate of Arts and Science Degree. 5. Students must be enrolled at a UW College during the last semester in which the degree requirements are completed or have earned 60 degree credits prior to transferring from a UW College to a baccalaureate degree granting institution.
