Doing Set up for CRDC: 1. District Set up School = District Office District > District Info Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Civil Rights Data Collection
Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click on Civil Rights Data Collection (CRDC)
2. Schools District Set up > Schools > School Info Complete Civil Rights Data Collection (CRDC) information for each Building in your District
Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click on Civil Rights Data Collection (CRDC)
3. Courses Courses that you need to code for Civil Rights Data Collection (CRDC) are: Mathematics and Science Algebra 1 Geometry Algebra II Advanced Math: Trigonometry, Elementary Analysis; Analytic Geometry, Statistics, Precalculus Calculus Biology Chemistry Physics
3. Courses continued Advanced Placement For each CRS that qualifies as Advanced Placement, does it fall under an AP subject area: MT AP Math SC AP Science FL AP for Language OT Other AP Courses Single Sex Classes Select a subject area for any single sex classes: AG Algebra or Geometry M+ Other Math SC Science EN English OT Other (If you offer any single sex classes in any building, they must be coded)
District > Courses Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click on Civil Rights Data Collection (CRDC)
When you find your course, click on the course name. This will bring up the Edit Course District Information. Scroll to the bottom of the page to the Civil Rights Data Collection (CRDC) link. Click on the link.
This is where you will populate information for this course. Repeat for each applicable course. Submit.
4. Sections If all Sections of a Course are the same information as the Course, this step is not required (if course questions are answered the same for all sections of this course, only do that the course level or only the sections that are different). If setup is required for the Section, select your school on the PowerSchool main page; School > Sections > Select Course/Section # and scroll to the bottom for the Civil Rights Data Collection(CRDC) link. * Note: Most districts should not require this step.
5. Students Must select students that qualify for any of the following criteria: 1. In a Gifted or Talented Program (Y / N) 2. IB (no PowerSchool Districts have IB Program) 3. GED operated by this school (would only qualify if have your own approved GED) 4. Receive GED Credential 5. SAT / ACT Take SAT Take ACT
Select Student > Information > State/Province NY Click on the Civil Rights Data Collection (CRDC) link
Enter responses and Submit.
Note: For Special Ed, 504 and LEP Students, this information pulls from the Program Services (Program Fact), if this information is in PowerSchool. Most districts pull program service information from their Spec Ed system.
Discipline Data Discipline must be entered in the Incident Management field Start Page Special Functions > Incident List
Reports in PowerSchool: * CRDC Report Part 1 * CRDC Report Part 2
System Reports > State Reports (tab)
Reports will be a Zip file.
When you access the Zip file, save in your Downloads. You will select the PDF
