New Features and Enhancements Known issues Resolved Issues System Requirements Product Licensing Getting Started with Globalization About Migration Manager for SharePoint 4.7 Migration Manager for SharePoint is an easy to use, yet powerful solution for migrating content, lists, libraries, sites and site collections between SharePoint environments. Whether you are consolidating, upgrading or reorganizing your environment, Migration Manager provides a convenient and familiar way of moving your SharePoint data. You can simply drag-and-drop data to a new SharePoint location or use scheduled tasks to move larger data sets during off-hours. is a minor release, with enhanced features and functionality. New Features and Enhancements New features in.20141214: Skipping hidden files and folders - A new Skip hidden files option is added to the Filter dialog that can be invoked from the Summary screen of the New Job Wizard. This filter option allows you to exclude hidden files and folders from migration. New features in : 1

Farm Connect - You can load all site collections in an on-premise SharePoint web application into the navigation view at once. Delta Copy The delta copy mode is useful when some of the previously migrated content is missing or updated on the target. The application will compare the source and target locations and intelligently synchronize the content to the target. SharePoint/Active Directory Group Mapping Use a simple CSV mapping file to re-map or merge SharePoint groups. You can map SharePoint groups to Active Directory security groups if you want to manage SharePoint access via Active Directory. Extended Office 365 Federation Support Support for custom claims providers federated with Office 365. Improved Command Line Interface More command line parameters have been added to achieve more parity with UI migrations. Known Issues The following is a list of issues, including those attributed to third-party products, known to exist at the time of release. Table 1: SharePoint Migration/Consolidation Known Issue Created/Modified metadata is not preserved when migrating data to SharePoint 2007 with June 2010 CU and later (12.0.0.6539 and higher). You will need to install an extension service to the target SharePoint 2007 farm. Refer to the Migrating Created/Modified Metadata section in the Migration Solutions for SharePoint User Guide for more information. List permissions for SharePoint 2003 lists with unique security are not copied. Issue ID N/A N/A Resolved Issues The following issues are implemented in this release of. Table 2: List of resolved issues Resolved Issue Migration Manager for SharePoint does not migrate a SharePoint security group if the group name contains a parenthesis character. Cannot set multiple values to multivalued choice fields when copying or importing Document Sets into SharePoint lists. When migrating the Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 site to Microsoft SharePoint 2013, Migration Manager for SharePoint cannot retain the Time Created and Modified parameter values for Survey list items on the target. If your computer is connected to the Internet via a proxy, click the Configure proxy button and specify your proxy server settings. 5. Click Activate Automatically. a. If your computer is not connected to the Internet, please refer to the Migration Solutions for SharePoint User Guide for activation instructions. 6. After successful activation, click the Complete Activation button. If you do not have Migration Manager installed, follow the instructions below to install and activate your copy of the application: 1. Install Migration Manager on your computer. 2. When the application starts for the first time, you will be prompted to activate your copy of the application. 3. In the Registration window, paste the attached activation code into the Your Activation Code field. 4. If your computer is connected to the Internet via a proxy, click the Configure proxy button and specify your proxy server settings. 3

After successful activation, click the Complete Activation button. If you have Migration Manager installed, follow the instructions below to update your activation: 1. Start Migration Manager and click the Activation button on the Help menu on the Ribbon. 2. In the Registration window, paste the attached activation code into the Your Activation Code field. 3. If your computer is connected to the Internet via a proxy, click the Configure proxy button and specify your proxy server settings. 4. Click Activate Automatically. a. If your computer is not connected to the Internet, please refer to the Migration Solutions for SharePoint User Guide for activation instructions. 5. After successful activation, click the Complete Activation button. Getting Started with Migration Manager for SharePoint 4.7 Upgrade and installation instructions 1. Run the Migration Manager for SharePoint installer. 2. Activate the application using your activation code. Refer to Migration Solutions for SharePoint User Guide for detailed installation instructions.
