Quality guidance for SPREFIX insulation system 1. General This quality manual has been prepared to assist DAEHYUP SPRAY installing contractors in their efforts to provide quality workmanship in the field application and, to assist their reliable inspection. 2. SPREFIX installing equipment The recommended installing equipment is the SPREFIX spray machine, exclusively made by SPREFIX. 3. Requirements 3.1 Surface preparation No need to paint on the steel plate that is pretreated with Zinc primer. The surface must be free from grease, oil rust and dust. The temperature of surface must be maintained above +0 Humidity is must be maintained below 80%. 3.2 Certified worker The installation is conducted only by the contractors with documented skill, who are approved by SPREFIX. 4. Spraying 4.1 Marking the thickness of required thickness according to the table of material consumption is preceded before spraying. 4.2 Surface treatment It is recommended to spray LPA on the few areas of the surface.. 4.3 Spraying procedure Inside of stiffener or beam Around of stiffener or beam Spraying from lower to upper direction. Fallen wools during the installation can be used to fill inside of stiffener. Remaining wools must be cleaned by vacuum cleaner or brush.. 4.4 Padding or Rolling For obtaining the flatter and smoother surface, roll with roller or pad onto the surface that has been dried slightly (within 10 minutes). Apply over-spray with mixture of water and binder in order to firm the surface, 5. Density check It is recommended to collect 2~3 samples in 300x300mm size from a ship where the SPREFIX is installed.
