Dear Principia Billing Services Customers, The Principia Billing Services Office is pleased to announce our new online bill called PrinBill. It can be accessed at www.prinbill.com. PrinBill is powered by TouchNet Information Systems, Inc., a leading bill presentment and payment provider. We have taken this step primarily to be in compliance with the new Payment Card Industry (PCI) data security standards set out by the major credit card companies to better protect the security of individuals credit card information. The new approach also allows us to provide a Web-based system that meets today s parents and students expectations. Other key features of the program include: Convenient e-mail notification when PrinBills are available and new charges are incurred Online access to current account activity and past statement history Quick and secure online payments Student payment plans that adjust automatically for new charges or credits No financial contract to complete There are two other major changes that affect payment by credit card: First, all credit card transactions will incur a non-refundable PayPath service fee of 2.75% ($3.00 minimum). In recent years, Principia s merchant fees for handling credit cards have increased to over $100,000 per year. Please be aware that there are no fees on payments from bank accounts and no fees for enrolling in a payment plan to spread installment payments over academic terms. Second, credit card payments can be accepted only on MasterCard, American Express, and Discover due to restrictions within Visa s merchant services agreement. This PrinBill Guide will help you begin accessing your account(s) to review charges, set up payment plans, and schedule payments. We believe you will find PrinBill easy to use, and our Billing Services staff is available if you need assistance. Thank you for your support of Principia. We trust that PrinBill will make your bill paying simple and easy while at the same time enabling us to better secure your account information. Yours truly, Douglas Gibbs Controller and Assistant Chief Financial Officer The Principia
