Nurse s Rx Registered Nurse: Travel: The role of the travel nurse is to provide direct patient care in the 20-30 bed combined neuro/medical/surgical/cardiac intensive care units. The Regional Medical Center Registered Nurse: The role of the trauma/icu nurse is to provide direct patient care in the third busiest trauma unit in the nation in both the trauma ER and trauma ICU. Clinical Positions as a Crisis Counselor Pathways, Inc. Crisis Clinician: The role of the crisis clinician is to provide services to mental health patients in crisis in 5 counties. Included services were emergency commitment to the mental health institutions. This position was in a new program and I assisted in writing the policy and procedure manual.
