For passengers to connect to the in-flight internet, they simply connect their device to the aircraft s wireless network, which then communicates via several wireless access points to a ViaSat modem/server in the aircraft. The modem connects to ViaSat s advanced satellite antenna on the top of the fuselage to transmit data between the aircraft, satellites, and groundbased gateway system to give passengers the freedom to shop, stream, and enjoy a full internet connectivity experience just like they have at home. ViaSat s vertically-integrated network supports flexible business models that can respond rapidly to shifts in the airline and internet business landscape.

GLOBAL BROADBAND COVERAGE With ViaSat, passengers get access to high-speed, high-quality in-flight internet virtually anywhere they fly.
