4 Inmarsat FleetBroadband Manageable Solution FleetBroadband uses the latest Inmarsat I4 satellites. Fleet- Broadband provides faster, more cost-effective access to data services. Besides constant, real-time weather and ECDIS updates, more complex applications can be used. Its simultaneous voice and data capability means that operational systems can be running online and while the user can still access , internet and make voice calls. FleetBroadband supports the latest IP services, as well as traditional circuit-switched voice and data for legacy applications. Imtech Marine offers three FleetBroadband terminals: FBB150, FBB250 and FBB500. The total FleetBroadband solution consists of call plans with data bundles. The bundles are available with several data allowances. The bundles start with a 10MB-package to 200MB, but also an unlimited data package is available. Inmarsat Global Xpress Imtech Marine is a Value Added Reseller of Inmarsat GX. Global Xpress is the broadband of the future for the maritime market, offering speed, quality and service at a very high level. Users needs and requirements will be paramount, and Inmarsat intends to provide a quality user experience at a cost-effective and acceptable price. Global Xpress is a VSAT Ka-band solution, backed by the L-band resilience of FleetBroadband. Global Xpress will be ideally placed to provide a high-quality user experience for browsing, voice and media services. Global Xpress will be available globally in The Imtech Marine Connectivity Solution is built around the Technical Managed Solution. The solution is flexible and can be adapted to specific needs. There are multiple devices available depending on requirements and demands. It is designed to separate the business from the crew network to enable bandwidth management and to provide additional features for crew use. The Technical Managed Solution can be setup with internal VLAN s to enable the shipowners to provide further network segmentation. In case the managed solution is connected to the office via a secure VPN, the VLAN s are a subnet of the office network. The business network can have full internet access or be restricted by firewall rules and filtering. Also the business network can have access to alternative connectivity services available, such as L-band or 3G. The business network can also be used to provide navigational data to the shore for remote monitoring and support. The crew network can consist of ship computers and serve as an internet café. There is also the option to add bring-your-own devices. Crew has to access the internet by means of logon and requires credits. Credits can be a free daily/weekly/monthly amount provided by the shipowner or purchased on-line from the captain/owner. Shipowners can price this at a predetermined rate and have a return of investment generated by the crew. Iridium OpenPort Iridium OpenPort is the world s first global high-speed network specifically designed for the maritime market. Iridium OpenPort offers true IP connectivity with up to three phone lines available for simultaneous use. Equipment is easy to install and surprisingly affordable. Best of all, Iridium OpenPort has a pole-topole coverage and unmatched network quality. Firewall, rules, advanced content filtering and file type filtering will prevent abuse or excessive usage. The Technical Managed Solution can be remotely controlled and settings can be changed remotely. For Iridium we offer a number of different plans with bundles for voice and data. Connectivity Packages Imtech Marine has developed 10 different connectivity packages. These Value-added Service Packages support the maritime operations with the use of our different connectivity connections. These packages mainly focus on Cargo/Merchant segment and Special & Offshore segment, ranging from basic solutions to very advanced functionalities. These 30 Values Added Services can be categorized in 6 functional groups: Vessel Operation services that facilitate business processes for owner and crew. The connection can, for example, be used to supply relevant data to the shipping company or the operating crew, enabling them to carry out logistics, tasks and activities with more ease, efficiency and effectiveness or at a lower price level. Web Services services to make the use of internet more efficient and manageable. Data Compression services and ways to decrease the used bandwidth to down- and upload files and content, in order to either downscale the costs or increase the remaining bandwidth for other applications. Security services to guarantee and contribute the security of data, connections and applications onboard by means of filtering and monitoring.
