For passengers to connect to the in-flight internet, they simply connect their device to the aircraft s wireless network, which then communicates via several wireless access points to a ViaSat modem/server in the aircraft. The modem connects to ViaSat s advanced satellite antenna on the top of the fuselage to transmit data between the aircraft, satellites and groundbased gateway system to give passengers the freedom to shop, stream and enjoy a full internet connectivity experience just like they have at home.
