Technical Specification Guide: COMLINK Dedicated Server Overview COMLINK s Dedicated Server is a type of datacenter hosting service in which the client leases an entire private server. Built upon an array of preconfigured servers our unmanaged dedicated servers are designed to meet the customer s requirements for performance, power, speed and reliability, with the option to add additional features such as monitoring, Backup-as-a-Service and cloud storage. Unprecedented flexibility enables the customer to configure a solution to meet their business needs. Dedicated hosting is a popular way to operate servers and their corresponding devices without owning and running the hardware or private datacenter. COMLINK s dedicated servers provide the customers total control over their cloud environment, including access and usage, with the benefits of paying a low monthly reoccurring charge, minimal setup charges, and Teir II compatible datacenter infrastructure. COMLINK s Dedicated Server is an unmanaged product, which allows the customer complete control over the dedicated cloud environment. The customer is responsible for installing and managing all of their own software and applications, which gives the customer the ability to partition and control access to the server. COMLINK offers customers the option to add backup services for an additional monthly fee. The customer can choose and install their preferred operating system, while also having the option to add any required software and applications. Dedicated Servers are an ideal choice for customers that require complete control over their servers without the required capital spending as with on-premise datacenters. Dedicated Servers are ideal for businesses or advanced users that experience high-levels website traffic or CPU-intensive applications, and are aimed at businesses with knowledgeable IT departments. A Dedicated Server gives the customer the flexibility and scalability needed to implement and manage software, applications and configurations. Dedicated Servers offer the resources and capabilities of an entire private server. The entire server is completely devoted to the customer. COMLINK s Dedicated Server includes its own datacenter switch port with 10 Mbps bandwidth burstable to 100 Mbps. 1

Features Why Choose Dedicated Servers? Dedicated server hosting reduces CAPEX and OPEX costs Customer s are provided total control with root/administrative access without owning the servers Customer receives sole use of a server, network, and bandwidth for better performance Freedom to load as many domains, sites, or email accounts as the customer desires without any limitations The customer can make frequent changes to their operating system and applications at anytime Customers have the opportunity to use applications and software that are not supported by an ISP COMLINK Dedicated Server customers will benefit from the latest enterprise grade server hardware, hosted in one of COMLINK s secure datacenter facilities, and fed by a continuous Internet connection. Dedicated Server have their own datacenter switch port with 10 Mbps bandwidth, burstable to 100 Mbps Dedicated Server hosting is reliable. Leasing a Dedicated Server limits risk by providing the customer with the entire server environment. This ensures that the customer and their websites will never be denied access to the resources needed to operate, as can happen in a shared environment. Dedicated Server hosting is secure with all resources on the server are allocated to the customer that is leasing the Dedicated Server. COMLINK will offer the opportunity to upgrade the server platform to meet the customers evolving needs Dedicated Resources are provided to each customer, CPU s, RAM, bandwidth and storage. Included Features Dedicated hardware Predictable processing power based on the dedicated server specifications 10 Mbps bandwidth burstable to 100 Mbps Bandwidth between datacenters available for redundant configurations Hardware replacement within 4 hours 99.99% network availability HIPAA, PCI, SSEA-16 compliance Include one IP Address per server Optional Features Additional bandwidth speed burstable up to 1 Gbps Choice of operating system license for an additional monthly charge DNS hosting and email options provided for an additional monthly charge 2

Cost Optional Features (cont.) Redundancy hardware can be mirrored at a second location, with software replication synchronizing data between sites. Additional cloud storage Backup as a service (if they are on a supported operating system) Monitoring service for a monthly (Coming Soon) Add-on managed firewall for a monthly charge and Global/SSL VPN license Additional IP addresses Dedicated Servers provide the advantages of low cost, absolute control, excellent performance, flexibility and scalability. The cost benefits associated with the higher return on investment and the reduced need for an expensive datacenter, hardware and technical support personnel make Dedicated Servers a logical choice compared to on premise datacenters.
