EXCHANGE PROGRAMMES OFFERED PROGRAMME TITLE Master in Management PROGRAMME LEVEL Graduate/Masters PROGRAMME(S) TYPE Exchange Programme (1 or 2 semesters) Dual Degree LANGUAGE(S) OF INSTRUCTION French and English LANGUAGE COURSES AVAILABLE Exchange students may enrol upon arrival in a weekly French class, at no additional cost. In this case, they must take a French test on the welcome day to evaluate their language level. The course is 2 hours per week, and is for credit (2,5 ECTS credits). French classes for beginners are offered except during the summer semester. Dual degree students are required to take 4 hours of French lessons per week for 2 semesters. COURSES OFFERED TO EXCHANGE STUDENTS 30 hours and 15 hours electives Specialisations (for Dual Degree or graduate-level students only) Prerequisites : Depend on the course. Students interested in taking Finance courses should already have a strong background in finance. Exchange students and Dual degree students must register for their courses online (through the school intranet). Detailed dates for online registration will be provided, when available. For Dual degree students, the course choice must take into account the prerequisite and core courses previously validated. ESCP Europe organises a special seminar for exchange students: Transcultural adaptation and learning skills. It will be mandatory starting September 2016 and is worth 6 ECTS credits. Students will be automatically registered for this seminar. 3

EXCHANGE STUDENT APPLICATIONS APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS No GMAT, GRE or similar test is required. Language Requirements: We require the exchange students to speak fluent English or fluent French in order to have no difficulties to take the management courses taught in French and in English. As the exchange students will integrate into our Master in Management Programme, they will be studying with French and International students who are generally 21 to 24 years old. We would advise you to nominate students who are between the ages of 20 and 28. GRADING SYSTEM (European Credit Transfer System) ECTS grade A B C D E Grade distribution (EU recommendation) 10% 25% 30% 25% 10% Please note that the ECTS grades depend on the results of the whole class through our 5 campuses on each specific course. For example, for one specific course, the grade shows the student s performance as compared with the average grade of the class, the average grade of the students on the Paris campus and the average grade of the students on all the ESCP EUROPE campuses. CREDIT SYSTEM/WORKLOAD The normal workload for an ESCP Europe student is 20 ECTS per semester. The maximum workload authorized is 180 hours (=24 ECTS) per semester, which is a maximum of 6 courses x 30 hours (excluding French language courses and the compulsory exchange student seminar Transcultural adaptation and learning skills seminar ). The minimum workload for a visiting student is 90 hours (12 ECTS) per semester (excluding French language courses and the compulsory exchange student seminar Transcultural adaptation and learning skills seminar ). Summer semester = a maximum of 12 ECTS Dual Degree students must complete 50 ECTS within two semesters at ESCP Europe. PER SEMESTER ECTS 1 advanced management elective course of 30 hours (10 weeks) 4 ECTS 1 introductory management elective course of 15 hours (5 weeks) 2 ECTS Specialization of 120 to 150 contact hours 20 ECTS or 24 ECTS Transcultural adaptation and learning skills seminar 6 ECTS OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION Dual degree students are required to attend school seminars (one in September which deals with the research project methods and a second during the Spring semester, which deals with Business in Europe. The exact dates will be announced in the Fall). Tandem Programme/Buddy system Tandem learning involves two people with different mother tongues working together to improve their foreign language skills and intercultural awareness. At ESCP EUROPE, the Tandem Programme aims to enhance socialization processes and to facilitate integration of different student populations on the Paris Campus. 6

OTHER USEFUL INFORMATION VISA INFORMATION/LINK If you are a citizen from the EU region you don t need to apply for a VISA For Non- EU citizens: If studying at ESCP Europe for a semester or more, students need a VISA VLS-TS long séjour pour etudes (extended stay study Visa with residence permit). Valid for more than 90 days to 1 year.* If studying at ESCP Europe for the summer Programme, students need a VISA DE COURT SEJOUR (short-stay study Visa). Valid for only 90 days. ATTENTION!!! It is your responsibility to check with the nearest French Embassy/Consulate for the latest VISA information Exchange students should not enter France with a Tourist VISA * To apply for an extended stay study Visa VLS-TS in a country where a CEF (centre pour les etudes en France) procedure is in force, you must go through the CEF procedure (also known as Pastel ). Application online: http://www.campusfrance.org/en/page/a-country-using-cef-procedure HOUSING ESCP EUROPE has no accommodation on-campus. However, the school has an agreement with a student residence called Le Vivaldi. The Residence is about 35 minutes away by metro and there is a direct bus from the residence to the school which takes about 25 minutes. Rent is currently 794 euros for a 20 to 25 sq meter studio and 737 euros for 15 to 19 sq meter studette (all equipped with a bathroom and a small kitchen). Rent includes electricity, water and heating. Students need to buy their own dishes and linen. Students can also apply for accommodation at the Cité Universitaire Internationale: www.ciup.fr They can also choose to look for a private flat. However they should be aware that it is very difficult to find a flat in Paris for a short term rental. Students can regularly check for accommodation ads published on the school intranet as well as the Facebook group ESCP Rents - Paris Campus. OTHER USEFUL INFORMATION FEES No academic fees for visiting students. Registration fees for dual degree students: 770 per year until graduation / Tuition fees for dual degree students: please refer to the exchange agreement signed by your institution and ESCP Europe. HEALTH INSURANCE Medical coverage is mandatory in France. All students have to register with the French Student social security (215 euros in 2014-2015, price subject to change), except if: they are EU nationals : they can benefit from the French Social Security by providing their European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), which they must obtain from their health insurance centre before leaving their home country. They will be required to show a copy of this form upon arrival. they have a French government scholarship, such as a bourse Eiffel or Bourse CROUS they are over 28 years old. They cannot register for French Student medical coverage. They must show proof of medical coverage from their country. French student medical coverage covers sickness, hospital and accident costs. It reimburses 70% of expenses (however, dental and optical care are minimally covered). Students will be asked to show proof of insurance, covering them for the risks of civil liability, repatriation and individual accident, medical expenses abroad.
