1. This guideline is issued under Section 48 Transport Operations (Road Use Management Mass, Dimensions and Loading) Regulation 2005 in accordance with Part 4 Section 22 of the Statutory Instruments Act 1992. 1.1 A reference to a shire by name is a reference to the shire of that name declared as a local government area under the Local Government Act 1993 as in force immediately before the changeover date, the 15 March 2008. 2. This form commenced on 15 March 2008. 3. Application 3.1 This guideline is issued as an alternative means of complying with Sections 24(a)(c), 25(1), 26(d) of the Transport Operations (Road Use Management Mass, Dimensions and Loading) Regulation 2005. 3.2 This guideline applies to: (a) operators of vehicles or combinations that exceed regulated dimensions when loaded with indivisible articles; or (b) operators of special purpose vehicles that exceed regulated dimensions; or (c) operators of vehicles that by construction, exceed regulated dimensions when not laden and that are used for the carriage of indivisible articles; or (d) operators of road trains or B-doubles combinations that exceed regulated height and width dimensions when loaded with indivisible articles. 3.3 An oversize vehicle or combination must not carry additional indivisible articles unless: (a) the additional indivisible article does not cause the vehicle or combination and its load to exceed a dimensional limit in the Transport Operations (Road Use Management Mass, Dimensions and Loading) Regulation 2005, that would not have been exceeded by the carrying of one of the indivisible articles; and (b) the vehicle or combination and its load complies with the mass limits in the Transport Operations (Road Use Management Mass, Dimensions and Loading) Regulation 2005. 3.4 Subclause 3.3 (b) does not apply if an excess mass combination is carrying equipment in addition to an indivisible article in accordance with the requirement of an Excess Mass Permit or an Excess Mass Guideline. 3.5 A road train or B-double combination which exceed the dimensions in this guideline must be broken down so as all vehicle combinations conform with this guideline or a guideline mentioned in section 3.7. 3.6 A special purpose vehicle which exceeds the dimensions in this guideline must not be driven on a road without a current Police Permit. 3.7 A vehicle or combination not described in Section 3.5 or 3.6 which exceeds the dimensions in this guideline must comply with the Performance Guideline for Excess Dimension Special Purpose Vehicles and Vehicles Carrying Indivisible Articles Requiring Pilots/Escorts Form Number 6 or Performance Guideline for Pilot and Escort Vehicles and Drivers Form Number 7. 3.8 For the purpose of this guideline: "Central Business District" means the network of roads that are located within the regulated parking zone of any city. day time means the period beginning at sunrise and ending at sunset, where visibility is not less than 250m due to natural light. night time means the period beginning at sunset and ending at sunrise or where visibility is less than 250m due to natural light. indivisible article is one that cannot be divided without extreme effort, expense or risk of damage to it. oversize vehicle or combination means a vehicle or combination that, together with any load, does not comply with Part 3 of the Transport Operations (Road Use Management Mass, Dimensions and Loading) Regulation 2005. "road train" means a vehicle, other than a B-double, that operates under the Guideline for Multi-combination Vehicles in Queensland Form Number 1 rear overhang line is the centre of the rear most axle, or the centre of the rear most axle group. The term is defined by the Transport Operations (Road Use Management Mass, Dimensions and Loading) Regulation 2005. special purpose vehicle means a vehicle, other than a tow truck or agricultural vehicle, built for a purpose other than carrying a load, except for auxiliary equipment, water or other substances which are directly associated with the operation of the vehicle (e.g. mobile crane, drilling rig, concrete pump, travel tower, front end loader, forklift, fire trucks etc). combination means a prime mover or truck connected to one or more trailers. tag trailer means a semi trailer that does not impose a load on the front axle or axle group of the towing vehicle. 4. This subsection does not apply to a truck hauling a tag trailer. 4.2.3 In instances where more than one excess dimensional indivisible article is to be carried, it is permissible to carry excess dimensional indivisible articles on the truck and on the trailer. 4.3 Prime Mover Semi Trailer Combinations (which include drop deck trailers, low loaders, low loader dollies, jinkers and extendable trailers) 4.3.1 A prime mover semitrailer combination exceeding 19m length and/or 2.5m width when laden is exempt from the requirements in Section 28(1)(2), s29(2)(a), s34(2)(b)(ii)(iii) of the Transport Operations (Road Special Purpose Vehicles in Queensland, 2008 Page 5 of 19

Use Management Mass, Dimensions and Loading) Regulation 2005. 4.3.2 The distance from the rear overhang line to the rear of the load is not to be greater than the lesser of: (a) 5.5m; or (b) 25% of the total vehicle combination length. 4.3.3 The unladen low loader, low loader dolly or jinker, must not be wider than: (a) 2.5m where there are 4 tyres on each axle; or (b) 2.7m where there are 8 tyres on each axle. 4.3.4 A low loader dolly must not be towed in combination with an unladen low loader unless exceptional difficulties in loading or unloading the dolly exist due to the nature of the site or because of the short distance to be travelled. 4.3.5 An unladen extendable semitrailer combination must not travel in an extended configuration. 4.3.6 A prime mover semitrailer combination may carry indivisible articles a total combination height to 4.8m when travelling on a Type 1 or Type 2 road train route where the vehicle and load to not exceed 2.5m in width and 19m in length. 4.4 Special Purpose Vehicles 4.4.1 A special purpose vehicle is exempt from the requirements of Section 29 (1)(2)(c) of the Transport Operations (Road Use Management Mass, Dimensions and Loading) Regulation 2005 unless otherwise restricted in this guideline. 4.4.2 The distance from the rear overhang line to the rear of the vehicle must not be greater than the lesser of: (a) 4m: or (b) 90% of the wheelbase. 4.4.3 The projection forward of the centre of the steering wheel must not be greater than 3.5m. 4.4.4 A special purpose vehicle must minimise its dimension as far as practicable for road travel. 4.4.5 A warning pattern complying with Section 6.5 of this guideline must be displayed on the left and right sides of any rigid projection extending more than 1.2m in front of or behind the body of a special purpose vehicle or, if due to the construction of the projection, to the maximum practical space available. 4.4.6 Any rigid projection extending more than 1.2m behind the rear of the vehicle (e.g. crane boom or concrete pump boom) must have fitted at the rear of the projection a brake and tail light working in conjunction with the vehicle s brake and tail light and a pair of warning flags, one flag positioned on each side of the projection. 4.4.7 A mobile crane less than 3m wide is exempt from the vehicle requirements in Section 5.1.1 of this guideline. 4.5 Road Trains and B-doubles 4.5.1 The overall maximum dimension limits applicable for road trains, B-doubles and prime mover combinations operating on approved road train routes carrying indivisible articles are as follows: Combinations Dimensions Limits Road Train and B- doubles Width Height Length 3.2m 4.6m As per maximum length in Guideline Road Train and B- doubles Width Height Length for Multi-combination Vehicles 2.5m 4.8m As per maximum length in Guideline for Multi-combination Vehicles 4.5.2 A road train or B-double combination may carry indivisible articles to a total combination width of 3.2m and/or height of 4.6m on the following combinations; (a) all trailers of Type 1 prime mover and semitrailer road train combinations when on Type 1 or Type 2 approved road train routes; or (b) the first and second trailers of Type 2 prime mover semitrailer road train combinations when on Type 2 approved road train routes; or (c) the truck and trailer of a Type 1 road train when on Type 1 or Type 2 approved road train routes; or (d) the truck and first trailer of a Type 2 road train when on Type 2 approved road train routes; or Special Purpose Vehicles in Queensland, 2008 Page 7 of 19

(e) both trailers of a B-double when on Type 1 or Type 2 approved road train routes. 4.5.3 A road train or B-double combination exceeding 2.5m in width when laden, is exempt from the requirements in Section 34(2)(b)(iii) of the Transport Operations (Road Use Management Mass, Dimensions and Loading) Regulation 2005. 4.5.4 A road train or B-double combination may carry indivisible articles to a width of 2.5m and a total combination height of 4.8m on any trailer or truck of the combination when travelling on Type 1 or Type 2 road train routes. 4.5.5 Indivisible articles to a width of 3.5m and combination height of 4.85m for a Type 1 road train and to 3.2m wide and combination height to 4.85m high for a Type 2 road train may be transported on the Barkly Highway between the Queensland/Northern Territory border and Camooweal. Before travelling from this route to anywhere else in Queensland, such road trains must be broken down so as all vehicles in the combination conform with this guideline. If it is not possible to conform with this guideline after breaking the road train combination down, the road train should not enter Queensland without a prearranged permit issued by the Queensland Police Service allowing for the movement of an excess dimension vehicle not covered by Queensland guidelines. 5. Requirements for All Vehicles and Drivers 5.1 Use of Warning Devices During Daylight Hours 5.1.1 An oversize vehicle or combination with or without a load that is wider than 2.5m must have; (a) one warning sign at its front; and (b) one warning sign at the rear of the vehicle or load; and (c) 4 warning flags, with one flag fitted to each side of the front and rear of the vehicle or load at the widest point. 5.1.2 An oversize vehicle or combination, with or without a load, that does not exceed 2.5m in width and is between 19m and 25m in length, must have one warning sign at the rear of the vehicle or load. 5.1.3 If a load projects more than 150mm beyond the sides of a vehicle or combination, and the projection is less than 500mm thick from top to bottom, the following is required: Special Purpose Vehicles in Queensland, 2008 Page 8 of 19

(a) a warning light attached to the vehicle or combination; and (b) at least two yellow rigid pieces of material (known as delineators ), one attached to the front and one to the rear of the load where it projects beyond the sides of the vehicle or combination. 5.1.4 In the daytime, an oversize vehicle or combination; (a) must have its low beam headlights on while travelling, except for special purpose vehicles not required to have headlights; and (b) must display a warning light if with or without any load, it is wider than 3m. 5.2 Use of Additional Warning Devices During Night Travel 5.2.1 At night time, an oversize vehicle or combination must display; (a) lights showing yellow to the front and red or yellow to the rear (side marker lights) and positioned no more than 2m apart on any load projecting from the vehicle or combination. (b) two red lights (rear clearance lights) fixed to the rear of any rearprojection load, within 400mm of each side of the load, and at least 1m but not more than 2.1m above the ground; and (c) a warning light if the vehicle or combination, with or without a load, is wider than 2.5m or longer than 19m. 5.2.2 At night time, a special purpose vehicle with a projection extending more than 1.2m in front of the vehicle must have side marker lights; 5.3 Control of Traffic (a) on each side of the projection mounted as far forward as possible, and (b) shielded from the driver s view; and (c) visible to any traffic approaching the vehicle from its front, and at least one of the lights must be visible to any vehicle approaching on either side. 5.3.1 A driver of an oversize vehicle or combination is not permitted to disobey any traffic legislation or authorise anyone else to do so. 5.4 Speed Limits 5.4.1 A maximum speed limit of 90kph is to be observed except where official traffic signs indicate a lower speed limit unless otherwise restricted in this guideline. 5.4.2 Where the vehicle is travelling at speed considerably slower than the prescribed speed limit, the vehicle must be pulled to the side of the road, where practicable, when there is a build up of traffic behind the vehicle. 5.5 Minimum Following Distance 5.5.1 A person driving an oversize vehicle or combination must maintain a distance of at least 200m from another oversize vehicle or combination travelling in front if it, unless; (a) it is overtaking the front vehicle, and the front vehicle is stopping; or (b) it is overtaking the front vehicle, and there is a separate lane available for the use of overtaking traffic; or (c) it is in an urban area, and it is not practicable to maintain a distance of 200m. 5.6 Loading Requirements 5.6.1 If an indivisible article can be safely loaded in more than one way, it must be loaded in a way that minimises the width of the vehicle or combination and its load. 5.6.2 A vehicle or combination must be loaded in a manner that ensures; 5.7 Excess Mass (a) risks to other road users are minimised; and (b) the loading does not adversely affect the vehicle s stability; and (c) the load is securely restrained when the vehicle is moving. 5.7.1 If an oversize vehicle or combination exceeds the mass limits outlined in the Transport Operations (Road Use Management Mass, Dimensions and Loading) Regulation 2005, the operation of the vehicle must comply with a Queensland Transport Excess Mass Guideline or Excess Mass Permit. 5.8 Approvals From Other Authorities 5.8.1 Where the dimensions of an oversize vehicle or combination are likely to interfere with overhead wires or other structures on or beside the road, approval to travel the route must be sought from the relevant authority. 5.8.2 It is the responsibility of the person wishing to move the oversize vehicle or combination to obtain approval from the relevant authority. 5.8.3 The driver of an oversize vehicle or combination must carry any document or information sheet (or a copy) issued by the relevant authority, which sets out the obligation imposed under a notice and it must be produced when requested by an Authorised Officer. 6. Warning Devices 6.1 Warning Flags 6.1.1 A warning flag; 6.2 Warning Lights (a) must be at least 450mm long and at least 450mm wide; and (b) must be brightly coloured red, yellow, or red and yellow. 6.2.1 A warning light must, when switched on; (a) emit a rotating, flashing yellow coloured light; and (b) flash between 120 and 200 times a minute; and (c) have a power of at least 55 watts. 6.2.2 A warning light, when switched on must be clearly visible at a distance of 500m in all directions, or be supplemented by one or more additional warning lights so that the emitting light from at least one of them is clearly visible at a distance of 500m in any direction. 6.2.3 A warning light must be only switched on when the vehicle or combination is travelling or is stationary in a position that is likely to cause danger to other road users. 6.3 Delineators 6.3.1 A delineator must; Special Purpose Vehicles in Queensland, 2008 Page 11 of 19

(a) be at least 300mm long and at least 300mm wide; and (b) comply with Class 1 or 2 of Australian Standard AS 1906 Retroreflective Materials and Devices for Road Traffic Control Purposes. 6.3.2 A delineator, must be attached so that its reflective surface is facing; 6.4 Warning Signs (a) forward of the vehicle, if at the front of the projection; and (b) rearward of the vehicle, if at the rear of the projection. 6.4.1 A warning sign must comply with the following specifications; (a) the face must have a yellow surface which complies with Class 1 or 2 of Australian Standard AS 1906 Retro-reflective Materials and Devices for Road Traffic Control Purposes; and (b) the face of the warning sign must have a black border at least 20mm wide; and (c) the outermost edge of the border must be set at least 10mm in from the edge of the sign unless the sign has been made with a box edge; and (d) the warning sign must have it manufacturer s name or trademark permanently marked in letters at least 3mm but not more than 10mm high in any visible location on the sign. 6.4.2 A warning sign must be made of; (a) a rigid, flat, weatherproof material; or (b) a flexible weatherproof material. 6.4.3 A warning sign must have; (a) a face showing the word OVERSIZE, in black upper-case lettering, conforming with Australian Standard AS 1744, Forms of Letters and Numerals for Road Signs, in typeface Series C(N); and (b) the letters must be at least 200mm high; and (c) the top and bottom of the lettering must be at least 125mm from the top and bottom of the sign, respectively; and (c) must be at least 1200mm long and at least 450mm high. 6.4.4 A warning sign which is split in two parts must have; (a) the part mounted on the left showing the letters OVER ; and (b) the part mounted on the right showing the letters SIZE ; and (c) there must be no border between the two parts; and (d) a combined length of at least 1200mm, 6.4.5 A warning sign must be mounted; (a) in a way unlikely to be dislodged; and (b) the lower edge of the sign must be; (i) above the bottom of the bumper bar; or (ii) if there is no bumper bar, at least 500mm from the ground. 6.4.6 If a warning sign is split into two parts, both parts must be fitted at the same height as the other. 6.4.7 A warning sign must be clearly visible and legible to other road users. 6.4.8 A warning sign must be entirely covered or removed when the vehicle or combination is not exceeding regulated dimensions. 6.5 Warning Pattern 6.5.1 A warning pattern must; (a) cover an area of at least 0.16 sq m (e.g. 100mm x 1600mm); or (b) if less space is available, due to the construction of the projection, cover the maximum practical space available. 6.5.2 A warning pattern must consist of diagonal stripes at least 150mm wide and alternately coloured: (a) red and white; or (b) black and white Special Purpose Vehicles in Queensland, 2008 Page 13 of 19

7. Administration 7.1 Registration 7.1.1 All vehicles must have current registration. 8. Travel Restrictions for All Vehicles 8.1 Night Time Travel 8.1.1 An oversize vehicle or combination that does not exceed 3.1m in width is permitted to travel at night, unless otherwise restricted in this guideline. 8.1.2 An oversize vehicle or combination between 3.1m and 3.5m in width is permitted to travel at night in the City of Brisbane or any other city from 2.00am provided; (a) the oversize vehicle or combination is being escorted by at least 1 pilot driving in the front and 1 pilot driving behind; and (b) the pilot vehicle driver responsible considers that it is necessary to do so to complete the journey being undertaken that day, or to be out of the city by 7.00 am; and (c) the oversize vehicle or combination is escorted in accordance with the current Guideline for Pilot and Escort Vehicles and Drivers Form No7. 8.1.3 Transportation of indivisible articles on road trains or B-double combinations wider than 2.5m and/or higher than 4.3m is not permitted at night. 8.2 Travelling In Low Visibility 8.2.1 An oversize vehicle or combination must not begin to travel if, due to circumstances such as fog, heavy rain, smoke, dust, or insect plague; (a) visibility is less than 250m in the daytime; or (b) the headlights of a vehicle approaching within 250m cannot be seen at night time. 8.2.2 If an oversize vehicle or combination is already travelling when visibility is reduced to the level described in 8.2.1, the driver must drive to the nearest safe parking area and wait until visibility improves beyond that level before continuing to travel. 8.3 General Operating Requirements 8.3.1 In the event of road construction work or wet weather periods affecting the proposed route, movements may be deferred or restricted until such day and time as may be determined by a representative of the Chief Executive. Information about temporary road closures/restrictions is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Phone 1800 077 247. 8.3.2 The driver of an oversize vehicle or combination must ensure they are aware of, and comply with, any temporary road closures/restrictions so described at the proposed time. 8.4 Bridge Height Clearances 8.4.1 The driver of an oversize vehicle or combination must ensure bridge height clearances on the proposed route are sufficient to accommodate the oversize vehicle or combination. 8.5 City Of Brisbane 8.5.1 A person must not drive an oversize vehicle or combination on the following roads: (a) Pacific Motorway north of the intersection with the Gateway Motorway; or (b) Riverside Expressway; or (c) Western Arterial Road from Miskin Street, Toowong to Stafford Road, Everton Park (Frederick Street, Rouen Road, Boundary Road, Kaye Street, MacGregor Terrace, Jubilee Terrace, Elimatta Drive, Stewart Road, Wardell Street, South Pine Road); or (d) Houghton Highway Bridge. 8.6 City Of Brisbane Or Any Other City 8.6.1 A person must not drive an oversize vehicle or combination in the Brisbane City, Gold Coast City, or Central Business District of any other City between 7.00am and 9.00am and or between 4.00pm and 6.00pm on business days. 8.6.2 This restriction does not apply to a vehicle or combination no longer than 25m and not wider than 2.5m operating on approved B-double routes. 8.7 Queensland South East Corner 8.7.1 An oversize vehicle or combination exceeding 3.1m in width is not permitted to travel on the roads bounded by the area of Coolangatta in the south, Gympie in the north, Toowoomba and Warwick in the west, from; (a) 10.00am to sunset on Saturdays and Sundays; or (b) 7.00am to sunset on a statewide public holiday, which falls on a weekday, or (c) midday to sunset, the day prior to a statewide long weekend and 7.00am to sunset on each day of the long weekend. 8.7.2 An oversized vehicle or combination exceeding 3.1m in width travelling on the Warrego Highway and Ipswich Road between Toowoomba and Rocklea (radius of 500m from Ipswich Road Rocklea) from 10.00am to 4.00pm on Sundays and 10.00am to sunset on a Saturday or public holiday is exempt from the requirements of subsection 8.7.1. 8.8 Christmas and New Year Restrictions 8.8.1 An oversize vehicle or combination is not permitted to travel throughout Queensland from 24 December to 02 January of the following year inclusive. 8.8.2 When Christmas Day falls on a Sunday or a Monday, restrictions applying to oversize vehicles and combinations commencing on the 24 December, will be extended to commence from 12 noon on the Friday prior to Christmas Day. 8.8.3 When 1 January falls on a Friday, restrictions applying to oversize vehicles and combinations will be extended to 11.59pm on 03 January of that year. 8.9 Easter Restrictions 8.9.1 No movement throughout Queensland, of an oversize vehicle or combination, from Thursday before Easter to the Tuesday after Easter inclusive. 8.10 Statewide Restrictions An oversize vehicle or combination is limited to a width of 3.048m and a length of 21.4m in length (vehicles with self steer trailers may extend to 25m in length) when travelling on the following roads: - The Gillies Highway (Gordonvale Atherton Road). - The Mossman Mt Molloy Road (Rex Highway). - The Kuranda Range (Kennedy Highway, Cairns Mareeba). - An oversize vehicle or combination that is wider than 3.048m to a width of 3.5m must be accompanied by at least 1 pilot vehicle in accordance with the conditions specified in the Performance Guidelines for Pilot and Escort Vehicles and Drivers (Form 7) when travelling on the above roads. An oversize vehicle or combination which exceeds 3m in width and/or 4.3m high must be accompanied by at least 1 escort vehicle in accordance with the conditions specified in the Performance Guidelines for Pilot and Escort Vehicles and Drivers (Form 7) when crossing the Burdekin River Bridge. Travel is not permitted between the hours of 7.30am to 9.00am and 4.00pm to 5.30pm Monday to Friday. Alternatively, the Home Hill Police may be contacted (07-4782 1300) to ascertain conditions for crossing the bridge. An oversize vehicle or combination is not permitted to travel on the following roads during the wet season (January-June) without obtaining prior approval from Main Roads District Office in Cairns [phone (07) 4050 5406 between 8.30am and 5.00pm weekdays] at least 24 hours prior to moving: - The Cooktown Developmental Rd north of Lakeland Downs. - The Peninsula Developmental Rd north of Laura. An oversize vehicle or combination, that is wider than 3.3m, is not permitted to travel unless the load can be elevated to at least 1.00m from the ground to clear guard rails at the approach on the following bridges: - McLeod River Bridge on the Peninsula Developmental Rd north of Mt Molloy - Rifle Creek Bridge on the Peninsula Development Rd South of Mt Molloy Special Purpose Vehicles in Queensland, 2008 Page 17 of 19

An operator of an oversize vehicle or combination, that is wider than 2.5m, intending to use the Mitchell Hwy between Cunnamulla and Barringun during or after wet weather conditions must contact the Paroo Shire Council Engineer (07-4655 1777 between 7am to 5pm weekdays), at least 24 hours prior to moving to ascertain whether the road can accommodate the oversize vehicle or combination. An operator, of an oversize vehicle or combination, that is wider than 2.5m, intending to use the Carnarvon Hwy between Roma and Injune during or after wet weather conditions must contact the Main Roads District Office in Roma (07-4622 9511 between 8.30am to 5pm weekdays) at least 24 hours prior to moving to ascertain whether the road can accommodate the oversize vehicle or combination An operator, of an oversize vehicle or combination, that is wider than 2.5m, intending to use the Kennedy Development road between the Landsborough Hwy (Winton) to Boulia must contact the Main Roads District Office in Barcaldine (07-4651 2702 between 8.30am to 5.00pm weekdays) at least 24 hours prior to moving to obtain approval to travel the route. An oversize vehicle or combination, that is wider than 2.5m, must be accompanied by at least 1 escort vehicle in accordance with the conditions specified in the Performance Guidelines for Pilot and Escort Vehicles and Drivers (Form 7) when travelling on the following sections of road: - Emu Park Rd (Yeppoon) between Lammermor Rd to Statute Bay (5.9km from Yeppoon) - Emu Park Rd (Yeppoon) between Kemp Beach to Mulambin Beach (8.7km from Yeppoon) - Dawson Hwy (Gladstone Biloela) through the Calliope Range section (54km west of Calliope) - Monto Rd (Gladstone) through the Dawes Range section (19.7km south of Many Peaks) - Byfield Rd (Yeppoon) north from the Capricorn International Resort roundabout to the Army Reserve boundary. Speed is limited to 80kph on this section of road. An oversize vehicle or combination, that is wider than 2.5m, is not permitted to operate on any part the Burnett Hwy (Mt Morgan - Rockhampton) through the Mt Morgan Range section. An operator intending to use Razorback Rd must contact the Chief Executive of Mt Morgan City Council (07-4938 1022 between 9.00am to 4.30pm weekdays) at least 24 hours prior to moving to obtain approval to travel the route. An oversize vehicle or combination, that is wider than 2.5m, is not permitted to operate on the following roads without obtaining approval from Main Roads District Office in Rockhampton (07-4931 1637 between 8.30am and 4.30pm weekdays) at least 24 hours prior to moving. - Sarina Rd (Marlborough) through the Sarina Range section - Palmer St (Nth Mackay) - Eungella Rd (Mackay) through the Eungella Range section starting at Pitton s Rd approximately 64km west of the intersection with Peak Downs Hwy. - Croyden Rd (St Lawrence) through the Croyden Range section. - Bolingbroke Rd (Koumala) through the Koumala Range section. 9. Additional Travel Restrictions for Road Trains and B-doubles 9.1 A Type 1 road train or B-double combination carrying indivisible articles wider than 2.5m to a width of 3.2m on all trailers or truck and trailer of the combination, must be accompanied by 1 pilot vehicle in accordance with the conditions specified in the Performance Guidelines for Pilot and Escort Vehicles and Drivers (Form 7) when travelling on the Warrego Highway between Toowoomba and the Chinchilla Shire boundary (approximately 3km north west of Warra). 9.2 Vehicles operating in accordance with Subsection 9.1 are exempt from the requirement of being accompanied by a pilot vehicle if an oversize indivisible article is being carried on only the first trailer of the combination or in instances of a truck and trailer road train combination the truck only. 9.3 A Type 2 road train travelling on the Barkly Highway, between Cloncurry and Mt Isa may only carry an indivisible article wider than 2.5m to a width of 3.2m on the first trailer of the combination or in instances of a truck and trailer road train combination the truck only.
