2.0 Process: After scrutiny of received applications, the list of shortlisted candidates will be put up in the website www.nitw.ac.in Shortlisted candidates will not be personally intimated. The candidates are advised to see the website frequently. Selection for adhoc faculty will be based on written test and/or interview. Selected candidates may have to join immediately. 3.0 Adhoc Appointments: All appointments are adhoc and purely temporary. The appointment can be terminated at any time without giving any notice. The period of temporary appointment shall be terminated on 31 st May 2017. 4.0 Remuneration and Essential Qualifications: Table1: Remuneration Adhoc Faculty in Engineering Disciplines Remuneration shall be Rs. 40,000/- consolidated per month. Adhoc faculty in Maths, Humanities (English), Physics, Chemistry, English Management Remuneration shall be Rs. 40,000/- consolidated per month. In case of candidates with Ph.D in the engineering disciplines, the remuneration shall be Rs. 50,000/- per month. 2 P a g e
4.1 Essential Qualifications 4.1.1 For Adhoc Faculty in Engineering Disciplines (with M.Tech./Ph.D.): Civil Engineering: First Class Degree at B.Tech. (Civil Engineering, Agriculture Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemical engineering, Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent and First Class Degree at M.Tech. (in any specialization of Civil Engineering). Ph.D. (Civil Engineering) is desirable. Electrical Engineering: First Class in B.Tech. or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering. First Class in M.Tech. with specialization in Power Systems / Power Electronics / Electrical Drives. Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering is desirable. Mechanical Engineering: First class in B.Tech. (Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent and First class in M.Tech. (in any specialization of Mechanical Engineering). Ph.D. (Mechanical Engineering) is desirable.
