Miami Bascom Palmer Eye Institute The first Bascom Palmer facility opened in Miami in 1962. Palm Beach Gardens Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at Palm Beach Gardens The second patient care facility was opened in Palm Beach Gardens in 1996. Ten years later, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute moved into a new 7.4 acre campus at PGA National, bringing to Palm Beach County the most technologically advanced eye care center in the U.S. The new campus offers treatment for all ophthalmic diseases and disorders as well as centers for LASIK, aesthetics, low vision rehabilitation and an optical shop. The adjoining 10,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center allows Bascom Palmer's physicians to perform retina, cataract, glaucoma, LASIK, ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgeries on-site.
Naples Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at Naples Bascom Palmer s third facility opened near downtown Naples to offer care for patients on Florida s Southwest coast. The center, located at the Naples Community Hospital Medical Plaza, offers treatment and management of vitreoretinal diseases, such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and uveitis. The center also provides diagnosis and treatment for children with visual problems. Additionally, Bascom Palmer s oculoplatic surgeons and neuro-ophthalmologists offer specialized care.
Plantation Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at Plantation Bascom Palmer s Broward facility is the fourth and newest patient care center to open. Conveniently located on Pine Island Road, just north of I-595 in Plantation, this center offers diagnosis and treatment of corneal and external diseases, such as cataracts, corneal transplants, dry eye, and the entire spectrum of refractive surgeries, including LASIK, as well as glaucoma and vitreoretinal diseases.
