Copyright 2004-2012. www.salespad.net Overview Dashboard Viewer provides a module where users can view a number of reports and/or websites on a single screen grid. Dashboard Designer is the tool used to customize the Dashboard Viewer screen. Security and Settings Before using Dashboard Viewer, the Dashboard Path must first be set in Modules > Settings and two Security Settings must be enabled in Modules > Security Editor. 1. In Modules > Settings, filter to Dashboard and specify the path where Dashboard files will be stored: 2. Click Save 3. In Modules > Security Editor, filter to Dashboard and make sure Dashboard Designer and Dashboard Viewer are both checked under Security: 4. Click Save Note: You must log out and log back in to SalesPad for Security changes to take effect.
Setup To set up a Dashboard design: 1. Select Modules> Dashboard Designer 2. On the Designer window, define the Dashboard Name and Column/Row format for the Dashboard 3. Click Save 4. You will be asked to specify the path. All Dashboards carry the extension of.dash. Layout To create the Dashboard Layout, place your cursor in the section of the Dashboard you wish to define and double-click. The section will look like this until defined: Note: The Dashboard can be set to Refresh on time intervals. Refresh rate can be changed in the Refresh drop-down under Plugin Settings. Display a Web Page To display a web page in a section: 1. Double-click the section you wish to define 2. Enter a Caption, Row Span, Column Span, and Refresh Rate under Plugin Settings 3. 4. Click the Apply Changes button. The section will look like this: 5. Click Save and specify the file name 6. Click Open Dashboard to access the Dashboard Viewer 7. Select the saved Dashboard design from the View: drop-down menu. A Dashboard form screen will appear, displaying the web page in the defined section: Display File Locations To add a section that includes a specific directory: 1. 3. On the FileSystem tab, enter the path of the specific directory along with the search pattern. For example, this search pattern searches for file types that contain.xlsx files that are located in the C:\Users\Brandon\Documents directory: 4. Click the Apply Changes button. Click Open Dashboard A Dashboard form screen will appear, displaying the search results for the path specified: You can click on the file name to open the specified file. Display a Quick Report To add a section that includes a Quick Report: 6. Double-click the section you wish to define 7. Enter a Caption, Row Span, Column Span, and Refresh Rate under Plugin Settings 8. On the QuickGridReport tab, enter the Quick Report path: 9. Click the Apply Changes button.
