Application Deadline The application deadline for participating to the program, by handling the complete application to the International Development Office 1, will be February 28th 2013 at 12.00. D. Evaluation of candidates and Vodafone Scholarships The two different lists (one for Economics and Business students; one for Economia e Management students) of eligible candidates are formed through the not disputable evaluation of an Academic Commission nominated by the Deans. The Academic Commission will evaluate eligible students (a motivational interview may be required) and assign, to the first candidate from each list, a partial contribution of 3.833 $. Additional scholarships (2.636 $ each) will be available for up to 4 students (2 Economics and Business students and 2 Economia e Management students). Regarding these additional scholarships, the Academic Commission might decide, by its not disputable evaluation, to assign all or none or an intermediate number of them. At the end of the selection process applicants will be divided in three groups: Students selected for the program, that will receive the Vodafone Scholarship (3.833 $ for: the first Economics and Business student and for the first Economia e Management student; and 2.636 $ for up to: two Economics and Business students and two Economia e Management students); Students selected for the program without the Vodafone Scholarship; Students not selected for the program. 1 viale Romania, 32 Borghetto, next to the bookstore 2

E. Publication of results, steps of the Stanford application, orientation for departure The list of eligible candidates (who have presented a complete application with accepted language certificate) will be published by March 4th 2013. They will be required to write their confirmation of participation to the program (international@luiss.it) by March 6th 2013 at 12.00. Confirming students will be nominated by the International Development Office to Stanford. They will then receive from Stanford the information, in order to start the application procedure (including also the visa request procedure) at Stanford: this step on the Stanford online system has a non refundable cost of $ 75 directly paid to Stanford. Students will receive the user ID and password, only after the completion of this application and after their final acceptance by Stanford, and will be able to apply to courses accordingly starting from April 14th (TBC). Students are therefore strongly suggested to start the application procedure as soon as they confirm the program in order to be ready to finalize the courses enrolment as soon as the enrolment to courses will open (April 14th TBC). According to the information provided by Stanford, students will be allowed to drop out of the program (by notifying this to LUISS and to Stanford by written email and through other means eventually communicated by Stanford) by April 15th, in order to ask for a refund of the required tuition fees (only the application fee of 75 $ will be not refundable). After this date, financial implications with Stanford will occur.
