Table of Contents 1. Outbound Dialling 2. Inbound Routing 3. Outbound CLI 4. Additional Network Configuration

1. Outbound dialling: The Customer will have been provided with a Welcome pack with system documentation, and will require the following Information: Username Password SIP Gateway DDI(s) In the left hand column select VoIP Providers then click Add Provider which appears at the top of the central window. This will take you to the Add VOIP Provider Wizard seen below. Enter Orbtalk in the field for Name of Provider then within the Country dropdown box select Generic. For the Provider select Generic VoIP Trunk then click Next.

You will then be able to add in the SIP server details from the welcome pack documentation. Then you will be required to add the Authentication ID, Password and Maximum Simultaneous calls. Maximum Simultaneous calls will be equal to the number of channels available on the Orbtalk SIP trunk. You will now be able to configure the Office Hours Settings for your 3CX system. From here you can set where calls will be directed during office hours and differently for out of office hours.

Finally, an Outbound Rule is required for the Trunk to dial out. Orbtalk will strip leading 0 s or 00 if sent and route the call in E164 format. You could send a call in any of these formats and it will still be routed be routed correctly: 0xxxxxxxxxx OR 0044xxxxxxxxxx OR 44xxxxxxxxxx. The example below will allow outbound calls to any number from extensions 100-999. You can now test the Outbound Routing by registering as an extension and dialling out to Landline and Mobile. Outbound rules can be configured by selecting "Outbound Rules" listed in the left column on 3CX. For Call Forwarding add a second outbound rule mirroring the first WTHOUT the Calls from Extensions field populated OR remove the extensions from the first rule and leave blank Please note if you have more than one outbound rule the priority will be top down so you may need to amend the prefix or extensions that your outbound rules use if the rules overlap. Please note if you have more than one outbound rule the priority will be top down so you may need to amend the prefix or extensions that your outbound rules use if the rules overlap.

2. Inbound routing: To receive Inbound calls to supplied DID's begin by selecting "VOIP Provider" from the left column in 3CX. Then select the system you would like to add numbers to and click "Edit Provider". Next select the tab called "DID". From here you can enter the full DIDs one at a time into the empty field (in format advised in Welcome Documentation), click add "<Add" after entering each number to add it to the system. Once all the numbers you wish to use have been added click the "Apply" at the bottom of the page. Select Source ID and check the box marked Source identification by DID. Click on Add DID and select all DIDs and click OK, scroll down and click Apply.

Next select the drop down for SIP Field containing DID numbers and set this to "To : User Part" then click apply Finally, navigate to "Inbound Rules" located in the left column. From there select the DID you wish to edit and click "Edit DID".

Here you can configure where inbound calls to that number are directed. You can use this function to direct inbound calls directly to a specific destination. After configuring your DID's it is recommended you test Inbound Routing by calling the DIDs to ensure that they route to the desired location(s).

3. Outbound DID Any DID associated with the trunk can be presented outbound as a caller id but it MUST be set in International format without any leading zero s. In order to change the external number we need to be we need to begin by selecting: >VoIP Provider >Edit Provider Here you can set the number you display externally by changing the "External Number" to any number which is associated to the trunk. After entering the number you wish to display on all outbound calls click "Apply"

3.1 Outbound DID - Extension Specific If you would like external caller ID to be set individually by extension we begin by selecting: >VoIP Provider >Edit Provider >Outbound Parameters In Outbound Parameters the following should be settings need to be set as follows: From : User Part = "AuthID" authentication From : Display Name = OutboundCallerId Remote Party ID - Calling Party : Display Name = "OutboundCallerId" Remote Party ID - Calling Party : User Part = "OutboundCallerId" Remote Party ID - Calling Party : Host Part = "GWHostPort" Click Apply. Now you will need to amend "External Number" field located on the "General Tab". This should be changed to the same details as the "Authentication ID".

To set the "Outbound Caller ID" for each extension you must first select "Extensions" from the left column. Now double-click the extension you wish to configure and select the "Other" Tab Here you will find the "Outbound Caller ID". You can enter any number that is registered on the trunk, this will be displayed as the CLI when this extention makes outbound calls.

4. Additional Network Configuration You may also need to configure certain ports and IP addresses on your network to enable 3CX system to function correctly. Please ensure the ports below are forwarded correctly and the addresses & IP's are unobstructed. Signalling: Port 5060 - UDP - sip.orbtalk.co.uk Media: Port's 10000 to 65535 - UDP 217.20.39.102 217.20.39.103 193.104.131.76 193.104.131.77 212.54.141.15 In addition, if you need to trust all signalling IP s that show up in various parts of the SIP packets, it's best to allow the entire 69.1.229.xxx and 69.1.224.xxx and 208.76.18.xxx 208.76.16.xxx networks.
