Available for high school students who are planning to attend college this fall. Applications are available in the guidance office. 3/1/16 Up to $1,000 The Raincross Chorale is a semi-professional singing group formed for the purpose of raising funds for vocal scholarships to be given to promising college music majors who have a home residence in the Riverside area. The Chorale gives Fall and Spring concerts and also presents an Evensong as part of the Riverside Dickens Festival. The applicant must have a home residence in the greater Riverside area, be a graduating high school senior, meet entrance requirements for an accredited four year college/university, be a music major, with a voice emphasis and a goal of a career in music. Applications available in the guidance office. 3/1/16 $1,000 This scholarship is for outstanding senior athletes graduating from RUSD and AUSD that are members of Crossword Christian Church and planning to attend a two or four year college/university full time. List 2015- Due Date Amount Requirements Altura Credit Union Foundation s Italian Catholic Federation Riverside Woman s Club Assistance League of Riverside College Inland Empire 4 Wheelers California Alarm Association (CAA)/Electronic Security Association (ESA) Youth Program 3/14/16 by 5:00 PM $1,000 Each year, the Altura Credit Union Foundation awards monetary scholarships to Riverside County High School seniors pursuing a college education. s are available from three separate funds, each of which has a different criteria. Students applying for any of the Altura Credit Union Foundation scholarships need to fill out only one application. Awards are based on academic achievement, community service, extra-curricular activities and financial need is considered. Students must complete application form, submit transcript, essay, three letters of recommendation, SAT or ACT scores and a copy of your FAFSA EFC (Estimated Family Contribution) page. Scott Memorial Fund RCTA 23 rd District PTA Poly PTSA 3/31/16 $2,500 (4 awards granted) $1,000 (4 awards granted) Applicants must be high school seniors who plan to enroll in a full time undergraduate course of study at an accredited four year college or university in the US who are children of members of the Riverside Sherriff s Association or students who are attending high schools in Riverside County. Four awards will be granted. Financial need will be considered in the selection of scholarship recipients. Application materials are available online at www.rcdsa.org. 3/31/16 $2,500 The Janice M. Scott Memorial Fund was established in October 2001 by the husband and family members of the late Janice Marie Scott to honor her legacy as a tremendous advocate for youth and a dedicated supporter of community service within the Greater Metropolitan Area of Washington, DC. Mrs. Scott was one of the 125 individuals who perished in Pentagon on Sept. 11, 2001. To be eligible, applicants must be a US citizen or permanent resident of the US, be a high school senior planning to enroll full time at a US accredited four-year college or university, have demonstrated leadership abilities through participating in community services or extra-curricular activities, have a minimum 3.0 GPA or higher and must demonstrate financial need (combined adjusted income of the parents cannot exceed $60,000.) Applications available in the guidance office. 4/1/16 by 5:00 PM $500 - $1,000 The Riverside City Teachers Association is awarding multiple $500 and $1,000 scholarships. All RUSD graduating seniors are eligible to apply. At least one of the twelve scholarships is designated for the son or daughter of an RCTA member, no matter from which high school he/she may be graduating. Students selected for consideration will be applicants who demonstrate excellence in academics (3.0 GPA or higher) and who have shown leadership in community activities or in RUSD schools. Student View Program 4/22/16 $500, $1,000 & $4,000 The Student-View Program is offering $11,000 worth of scholarships to high school seniors who plan to attend a fouryear college, community/junior college or career school. It s quick and easy to apply: no minimum SAT/ACT score or grade point average, no essay required, no lengthy application forms and no application fees. The Citrus Belt Area Athletic Director s Association 4/22/16 $500 The Citrus Belt Area Athletic Director s Association provides scholarships annually to senior student athletes from Riverside and San Bernardino area high schools. This year there are ten $500 scholarships available. They are interested in what makes you stand out above the other athletes in the area. Applications are available in the guidance office. RCCD s 4/29/16 Varies Riverside Community College District offers scholarships for high school seniors who plan to enroll at any college within RCCD (MVC, NC, RCC). She believed that children were our highest priority, and acting on that belief, gave thousands of volunteer hours to them. She was Riverside Council PTA s president at the time of her death in December 1997.
