CPO Inventory Listings How to list your CPO inventory online May 2012

Procedure for CPO Listings 1. DMI enrollment form is required a. Select option for CPO inventory extraction b. Submit enrollment form to Nissan (directions on form) 2. Dealer (or 3 rd party aggregator) must flag CPOs on dealer computer system 3. DMI support for this process can be found at: a. 512-692-1137 or e-mail: nissan_support@dmotorworks.com 4. Nissan covers the cost for basic CPO listings, but does not include photos. 5. If the dealer wants photos and additional vehicle detail on the web listing, then the dealer must contract separately with the website. (Please see examples of website listings with contracts and without contracts at the end of this presentation.) 6. The following sites provide exclusive Nissan CPO listings: a. AutoTrader.com 800-353-9350 (AutoTrader powers Nissan CPO site!) b. Cars.com 800-298-1460 c. Usedcars.com 877-791-2074 d. KBB.com 949-268-3070 e. ebay.com 1-866-eBaycar 7. CPO Enrollment Required #1 Dealers must complete a DMI enrollment form to enable CPO Listings Why DMI? Dealers must identify (flag) inventory units that are CPO versus Non-CPO units. DMI confirms mileage & model year eligibility of flagged CPO units. DMI forwards eligible CPO vehicles (data only) to 5 websites: Nissanusa.com Cars.com AutoTrader.com KBB.com Usedcars.com ebay.com Please e-mail certifiedpre-ownedsupport@nissan.com to request an enrollment form. 3

CPO Inventory Internet Listings #2 Dealer selects from two enrollment options: Option 1: Dealer identifies CPO inventory Dealer flags CPO inventory on their own DMS system or DMI website DMI extracts CPO inventory from DMS or DMI website DMI forwards eligible CPOs to AutoTrader/Cars/Usedcars/KBB Option 2: Dealer utilizes 3 rd Party Aggregator (i.e., Homenet, Ebiz,etc.) Aggregator flags CPO inventory DMI extracts inventory from Aggregator DMI forwards eligible CPOs to AutoTrader/Cars/Usedcars/KBB/eBay Nissan incurs the cost of the DMI extraction and basic vehicle listing Dealer must have website advertising package to display photos NOTE! AutoTrader powers Nissanusa.com CPO search engine. Dealers with AutoTrader contract (with photos) will have these photos displayed on both sites. 4

Best Practice: Most dealers utilize 3 rd party aggregators to provide photos which make their CPO listings much more likely to generate customer leads. 5

Actual CPO Listings by Website The following slides show CPO listings in two formats: 1. Listings with website advertising contract 2. Listings without website advertising contract

AutoTrader Web Listings With contract: Without contract: No picture No detail No dealer name Please note vehicles without a contract get listed at the bottom of the search. 9

Cars.com Web listings With contract: Without contract: No picture No dealer e-mail Note vehicles without a contract are listed in order of price. The non-contracted vehicles don t shift to bottom of the list like AutoTrader.com. 10

UsedCars.com With contract: Without contract: No picture No dealer name or phone # Please note vehicles without a contract are listed in order of price. The noncontracted vehicles don t shift to bottom of the list like AutoTrader.com. 11

UsedCars.com No Contract: If a dealer does not have a contract with Usedcars.com, customers can click on Learn More and they will be directed to this screen. All e-mails from here will be forwarded to Nissan Lead Management and then forwarded to the dealer s lead tracker. (typically under 10 minutes) 12

ebay.com Custom Nissan CPO branded template, custom call tracking toll free numbers, dealer map and a complete listing of all CPO vehicles in each listing. ebay Motors has created a custom CPO brand page just for Nissan: www.ebay.com/cpo/nissan This page allows users to learn about the value of Nissan Certified Pre-Owned vehicles, but also explore models available and directly search and view the inventory at local participating dealerships. 13
