Enrollment Management & Marketing TOOLKIT Video Production Many principals indicated that one of the resources they considered a top priority is a school promotional video. The Archdiocese of St. Louis has recently entered into a partnership with Lightswitch Video in Chicago, who is also working successfully with Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Chicago. In order to ensure the quality of any resource we endorse, the Enrollment Management Core Team (EMCT) has piloted three videos in order to learn the process and evaluate the product. We are confident in our recommendation! A few Catholic elementary schools in the Archdiocese of St. Louis have already engaged Lightswitch for the production of a 90-120 second marketing video that is high-quality and professionally-produced, with a minimum of effort on the part of the school. (It is important to note that these are not large schools or schools with abundant resources compared to some. What they do have is a commitment to effective marketing tools to enhance awareness of their product! If they can do it, so can you!) The Pre-production Process A simple pre-production production process is provided in collaboration with a representative from Lightswitch who will work with you in identifying the best messaging for your school, persons to be interviewed, preparation of questions for interviews, preparing the school visually and selecting several areas to highlight, etc. A local videographer engaged by Lightswitch will visit your school for a scheduled 1-2 hour shoot. The video will be returned to Lightswitch for editing, and you will have the opportunity to provide feedback about any revisions you may want to make before the final product is delivered to you. The cost for a custom shot video, on location for one hour, edited to include music, is $500. For $600, the custom shot video can include an interview or testimonial. A voiceover can be added for an additional $100, 0, but you may contact the Director of Marketing and Community Relations to record the voiceover for you, at no additional cost to your school! Explain the value of a Catholic, faith based education.
