NOTES: 1) At least two individuals are needed to assemble the Turbo Tube Slide. 2) To aid in aligning holes when assembling sections, insert a screwdriver through adjacent holes to maintain hole alignment. FIG. 2 (2) A (1) 1. Identify each slide section as either (1), (2),,, (5), or (6) as marked on the lip of each piece. B 2. Assemble entrance section A using pieces (1) & (2), two 90 B sections using pieces &, and the exit section C using pieces & (5). Attach using a 5/16" x 3/4" hex head bolt, two 5/16" flat washers, and a 5/16" loc nut at each hole junction (Figs. 1 & 2). NOTE: Fasten each loc nut finger tight until the entire slide is assembled. Each time you join parts be sure each flanged lip is mating with a flat lip. 3. Attach mounting plate to section A through holes indicated in Fig. 3 using four 5/16" x 1" hex head bolts, eight 5/16" flat washers, and four 5/16" loc nuts (Fig. 4). NOTE: The top of the mounting plate is indicated with a green sticker. B (5) C Attach slide bracket here 4. Position a 90 section B to the entrance section, rotating the 90 section two holes from the previous seam. (See Figs. 5 & 6). Secure using a 5/16" x 3/4" hex bolt, two 5/16" washers, and a 5/16" loc nut at each hole junction. FIG. 4 NOTE: Once again if you have difficulty aligning holes, insert a screwdriver thru adjacent holes to attain alignment. 5. Add remaining sections ( B & C ) to assembly rotating each section two holes from the previous seam. (See Figs. 7 & 8). (1) 6. Mount the slide run-off (6) to the assembly using one 5/16" x 3/4" hex head bolt, two 5/16" washers, and one 5/16" loc nut at each hole junction as before (Fig. 9). NOTE: When assembled properly the last hole of the exit section C will be exposed. (See Fig. 10). (2) (1) (2) FIG. 5 FIG. 6 Note: Due to the expansion and contraction of the polyethylene it may be necessary to widen existing holes by redrilling with a 3/8" drill bit. (5) FIG. 7 4
Drill 3/8" diameter holes thru the frame here. FIG. 8 FIG. 11 7. Tighten all nuts completely. FIG. 9 FIG. 10 Note: One hole of the exit section should be exposed C (6) 8. With the assistance of at least two others, position the Turbo Tube Slide to the appropriate opening of the activity center. Using the mounting plate as a guide, mark all hole locations. Drill two 3/8" holes through the top of the frame as indicated in Fig 11. Drill 1/8" pilot holes, 1" deep, at the remaining marked locations. 9. To attach slide to the climbing unit: a.) secure mounting plate corners using a 5/16" x 2-1/2" lag bolt and 5/16" washer b.) using two 5/16 x 2-1/2" hex head bolts, four 5/16" washers, and two 5/16" loc nuts secure slide through the top two holes drilled completely through the frame. NOTE: The bolts heads should be on the inside of the unit. c.) through the remaining eight holes, secure slide using a 5/16" x 1-1/2" lag bolt and washer. (See Fig. 12) NOTE: Bolt heads should be on the outside of the unit. 5

Dig a 3" deep hole beneath the slide runoff area. 11. Position the slide bracket between the slide and activity center (Figs. 13 & 2). Remove appropriate bolts from the slide, attach bracket as indicated in Fig. 13, and resecure hardware. 12. If necessary, move slide towards the activity center until the bracket makes contact with the unit. Using holes in the bracket as a guide, mark and drill 1/8" pilot holes (1" deep). Attach bracket to the unit using two 5/16" x 1-1/2" lag bolts (Fig. 13). 13. Construct a slide support using three 2" x 4" x 20", two 2" x 4" x 9-1/4", and one 2" x 4" x 7" boards as indicated in Fig. 14. Join boards using 10D galvanized nails. 14. Attach the support bracket to the slide support built in step 13 using two 5/16" x 1-1/2" lag bolts. 15. Place the support beneath the slide and determine its final position. NOTE: Slide support should fit tightly beneath the slide to assure proper support. Remove corresponding nut and bolt, attach support to the slide as indicated in Fig. 15, and resecure hardware. 16. Level grade around the base of the slide.
