Online Employee Certification Instructions
Timekeeping Recording for M.C. Dean The Defense Contracting Auditing Agency (DCAA) which governs all Timekeeping Recording for M.C. Dean requires that every employee certify the hours worked in total to each contract effort (project number) that they worked on each day. Also required is to certify hours for Paid Time Off, Paid Holiday and any other paid benefits. Failure to follow timesheet policies and complete timesheet affirmations, entries, and certifications within the required time will result in progressive disciplinary action.
Timekeeping Recording for M.C. Dean On a full time BTA jobsites certification is usually performed daily as the employee enter both the hours worked and the project worked on that day. On a non BTA jobsite the employee hours and project numbers are entered by a supervisor or project administrative employee. Whenever someone other than the actual employee enters the hours and project numbers worked into an employees timecard, the entire timecard must be certified by the actual employee. This certification can be done on a BTA kiosk or via the Employee Portal on mcdean.com. Employees are responsible for following Company security protocols intended to protect Company property including not attempting to access unauthorized files or programs, securely maintaining appropriate passwords, not disclosing passwords, and not requesting other employees passwords.
Timekeeping Recording for M.C. Dean EMPLOYEES ARE REQUIRED TO CERTIFY OUTSTANDING TIMESHEETS THAT THEY HAVE BEEN PAID FOR WITHIN ONE WEEK OF THE PAYENDING DATE. Not certifying or notifying the Company of a pay issue within two (2) weeks of the effective pay week ending date will require the employee to physically visit the closest regional office to receive their check. (Not their stub a live check for that week) If you disagree with the hours or project shown on the certification please notify your supervisor as soon as possible and provide details of what you are disputing. Do not use the timecard certification function to dispute points Call the BTA Hotline.
1. Navigate to http://www.mcdean.com 2. Click Login to access M.C. Dean Applications and Utilities 3. Click the Online Timesheet link 4. Log into the Timesheet Application (https://timesheet3.mcdean.com)
5. Select PTO from the Home drop down menu. 6. Click View.
Review the timesheet for the correct project and hours worked. If you have PTO and/or Holiday that will show as well. If all is correct for what you were paid for, click the CERTIFY button.
If there is an error in the job number or hours worked, click the Notify my supervisor button. Discuss the DETAILS of what you feel is the error with your supervisor as soon as possible so that it may be corrected. DO NOT click the Notify my supervisor button for POINTS DISPUTES. Call the BTA Hotline.
If you have multiple timesheets to certify, you must sign out and sign back in to refresh the page. Once you sign on again, repeat the process to certify additional timesheets.
