Master of Arts in Education: Instructional Leadership 36 credits The Master of Arts in Education: Instructional Leadership is designed to enhance the competencies, knowledge and skills of educational professionals in areas of design, implementation, practice and assessment of instructional programs. The M.A. is designed to equip professional educators with the skills necessary to become master teachers and instructional leaders in public and private schools, as well as corporate and nonprofit organizations. Master of Arts in Education: Educational Leadership 39 Credits The Master of Arts in Education: Educational Leadership is designed to prepare educators for leadership roles in the public schools. It enhances the competencies, knowledge and skills of educational leaders in the areas of school leadership and administration, as well as design, implementation, practice and assessment of instructional programs. Master of Arts in Special Education 36 or 39 Credits The Master of Arts in Special Education is designed to provide students with the ability to understand and embrace diversity, to meet the needs of exceptional learners and to guide individuals towards maximizing their educational potential. Online Designed with Your Busy Schedule In Mind Master of Education in Educational Practice Online The Master of Education in Educational Practice (M.Ed.) is unique in that it focuses on situations that teachers face on a daily basis. It is practical in its application so coursework can be immediately incorporated into your classroom. The M.Ed. has been designed with the busy teacher s schedule in mind. It consists of twelve courses, totaling 36 credits. Understanding the busy lives of professional educators, Centenary College has scheduled the M.Ed. in Educational Practice to coordinate with the traditional academic year. The program is comprised of four accelerated courses per year, each one eight weeks in length. You will join in a cohort of learners and progress through the program together. All classes are online, asynchronous and accelerated, providing you with the flexibility to juggle the demands of teaching, extra-curricular responsibilities, mandated professional development, and family life.
Blend Traditional & Online to Earn Your Degree Master of Education in Reading with a New Jersey Reading Specialist Certification 33 Credits Blended/Traditional Graduate Program The Master of Education in Reading degree is designed to give teachers a deeper understanding of the reading process by considering children of different abilities and diverse backgrounds. Teachers and instructional leaders will study current Literacy theory and practice as it relates to the K 12 reading and writing process. The Master of Education in Reading at Centenary College will enable the students to meet State requirements for the New Jersey Reading Specialist Certification while completing a Master of Education degree. This certification enables a teacher to provide reading/literacy instruction in Kindergarten through grade 12.
